It had taken more time than planned to find a puppy. He initally thought that she'd shelved the idea given the delay but knowing Mallory she probally had something else come up in her life. She still thought that David was an amazing guy and since she did consider them a strange version of best friends she also knew that she wanted to make sure that he had been doing well lately but she needed to do so without seemingly like she was prying. <1pm works just fine. I'll meet you at the Blue Rocket cafe> David texted back. The mall was huge and even bigger than than one he was used to in Birmingham. So a meeting point was essential. So at the appointed time David was there waiting at an outside table. An imitation of a little coffee shop you'd find in many a part of the world only fully enclosed by the mall. He also had just finished his expresso while he waited for his closest friend on the island. Graysen was his best male friend and Peyton felt very special to him. When David did get there he found Mallory sounding ready to find a puppy. "An ice sounds good given the day we have. So do you have an idea in mind or do I open all the doors and see you get swamped by puppies?" he mused and chuckled. David seen the ice cream truck which was a traditional looking American thing. His choice would be a simple one and he liked strawberry ices. So following Mallory he replied "a strawberry ice would be nice. And Sparky is doing really well. He's gotten used to the way things work here and the different walks as well a new people in his life". When Mallory also mentioned being dog piled by small breed puppies he figured that made sense. The one who showed the most love and cuteness would be the winner. "At least we'll have a winner once the doors are open" he chuckled as they joined the short queue. Mallory Nottingham |

He still seemed happy than the last time that she seen him perhaps even more so. "How is your job going?" she asked him as she took a second to use her ribbons to fix her hair so that she could have a ponytail. "I always like to ask people just because I feel like at the end of the day it gives you more of an insight as to how their job is treating them currently." You couldn't always do something about your work load but you could try and make it fun. He was still as busy as ever and being with Artemis helped him settle into the new and challenging role quicker. It was Peyton who'd made life sweet and its wasn't hard to notice that something was going on with then. "I feel fully settled now with great work colleagues round me. It's more work but it feels easier to do than it did before. Also I met another arrival from Europe and we get on really well. She also works in ARI but it also feels different from the time before here. She's so easy to get on with and spend time with. Even Sparky likes her" he replied. Mallory Nottingham |

She continued to eat on her ice as she listened to him. "I have visited a pet store before of course but this is the first time that I can say I will be leaving with an animal of my own and probably one too many accessories," she said as she laughed. She was going to do her best to attempt and control herself but she also knew that she could be easily overloaded with cuteness. David smiled a little and nibbled on the edge of his ice lolly. "You'll need a flea collar and a regular collar; certainly a chew toy and it's not wrong to spoil a dog a bit. I would suggest they sleep in their own bed and get used to that" he suggested. He could help reel her in about the cuteness and keep her on track. "It does feel special with Peyton. Once they finally got to the pet store she took a second and held the door open for David and let him go in first. There would always be something about going into a pet store that seemed to put her into a state of calm as she finally made her way in.
