the morning after is worse than a hang over (closed)

I have been stressed out of my mind for near 48 hours since the anniversary party. Stress about what on earth to do, Avery has basically ignored me and I have been terrified to tell Cami anything. Hell I wasn't even sure what I should say. Or should I say anything? Maybe I was dreaming..



No that wasn't it. I paused when she came in with drinks. She pushed an OJ in my hand and started to ramble about work and pumpkin spice. Shit, what was I supposed to say. I blinked a few times then leaned in and kissed her. The door was close no one would see.


"Your perfect, where's the tail? I hate when you hide it..," I pointed out the fact she was using her cloaking device "I've told you before you have nothing to hide here,"

Artemis was dressed what she hoped was decent enough for her interview. She had known Ethan a while back and now that she was here he had helped her out by giving her a job and today she was going into it and getting a tour and maybe possibly meeting some more of the people. She was a good worker and she had already learned the land a little bit. She made her way into the building and was greeted by security who made her stay exactly where she was until they could page Ethan.

She looked around and smiled. She could not wait to share space with him again because he had always been a nice man and she hoped that he was doing well in his life.

As Avery entered the room the tension became much thicker. I took a breath making sure to give a big smile to Cami before turning to Avery and listening with full attention. She mentions the meeting, the new hire and our party. She didn't mention the afterparty, that was Good I guess? I was completely confused and felt so guilty but this was not the time.



"I'm sure you got the meeting handled, your very detailed and people love you. You will handle them just like you did our party, everything you do is perfect. As far as the new hire she's perfect for what we are looking for. I have known her for a long time, we work well together and typically enjoy each other's company so its easy to work with. You ladies will love her when you meet her,"



I wasn't sure if I mentioned it was a woman before now, but it didn't matter. "Why don't you go ahead and get the meeting room ready Avery and I will help Cami pull out the customer files and get the paper work for our new hire ready. Sound good?,"

She could not believe she was going to see Ethan. It put a small amount of butterflies in her stomach but knowing that he was married now made those quickly go away, besides she had met that nice young man a few days ago and was almost as good as married. Still it did not stop her from looking around the office and wondering what all it was that was hidden beneath here and around here. Maybe it was in her nature to be nosy but she was not going to do too much and risk the chance of getting fired before she had gotten officially hired. She seen a woman walked by and took a seat until she was to be addressed.

There was something in her voice, something heavier than normal. Her words were upbeat and happy but it was hiding something. Panic, distress, maybe worry about everything that happened that night. Or maybe i was projecting my own uncertainties, either way I shouldn't feed into them at least not now.

"Of course, and I also am very well aware of how organized you are and that it will only take you a few seconds to find the paper work we need. But i figure we got almost 30 minutes before we need to meet the clients, so why don't we take that time..,"

I reach my arm out to her wrist pressing the small button and deactivating her cloaking device showing her blue skin and tail. "Me and the real you, the woman I love. Why don't we take that time to make up for some of the time that has been stolen from us over the last couple of days,"

With that I leaned forward kissing her neck, my tongue dancing around her collar bone and up the nape of her neck. It was something I knew she liked. My hands unbuttoning the top of her pants and slipping into her underway. Slowly caressing between her legs, fast then slow I whispered in her ear.

"Figured you deserved some satisfaction after everything, you like it don't you?,"

I had missed her, missed touching her, missed hearing her little moans, I had missed being with her and I wanted her to know I still cared. Maybe I wanted to remind me of how much I enjoyed her company, I wasn't sure but I just felt this needed to happen. I was so zeroed in on it I even forgot to lock the door...

Cami had spent the past couple of days trying to figure out what it meant to be in a relationship because she knew that every relationship was different but she, even in the time that he had to spend with his wife never questioned her love for Ethan. She did the smaller things and still did her job but the truth was that her feelings were a bit conflicted at the moment. She watched him deactivate her device and she shook her head.

Her confidence was not shaken or anything but still once people put something in your head as others had her with how different she truly was and how much of a disgrace she was it was hard to shake past it. "I appreciate you for believing in me and fully accepting me," she said. It was hard to concentrate when Ethan was kissing her neck as she sighed.

That was the hard part of being in love with someone that was married for reasons that she understood but still a part of her hated. She liked the touch and when she was in the form of ner natural self it did make her senses slightly appear to be heightened. She had not yet learned how to work past that. "I love you Ethan, I mean no matter what I will always love you and I know you love me too," she said in the heat of the moment.

She did not hear the door open but she did hear the voice and she quickly went invisible and under the table. "Fuck," she said as she sat there invisible. The new person, the new hire was a girl?" That unsettled Cami even more but for the minute she had no choice but to listen and hope that she could scurry out in the middle of the conversation without much notice brought to her and Ethan for someone who did not know what was going on might get the wrong idea.
