It was very unexpected but honestly the kiss was nice. He wrapped his arms around her waist like old times, as her one foot kicked up in the air he held the majority of her in his arms. The kiss lasted a few minutes which was way to long for a married man and an engaged woman especially considering there history.
Still his life was already complicated enough with his very confusing marriage that honestly he wasn't even sure about and no one was around so what's the harm. As he pulled away he smiled and spoke
"After everything you have done for me in the past, and all the fun nights we spent together," He spoke with a wink "Plus I am sure you will pay me back, 10 times over,"

Avery sighed. "Well now is not the time to think about any of that. We need to go make sure that we meet this girl, come on and follow me." she said as she made her way down and then paused as she seen Ethan being kissed. She kept her masked face on and took a second to speak. "Once a man whore always a man whore I suppose," she said as her mouth did seem to seethe a venom that even she could and did not want to understand at the moment as she stared. "I guess it goes without saying that there was or is something still between them, good luck getting past all of that hurt and pain." God she could feel her heart breaking and she did not like that. No one was ever supposed to get in and have such a hold around your heart like this as she wiped the single tear that fell from her face. "I am sorry if it caught you off guard, that was never my intention. I know that what we had was in the past but Ethan you were always such a great lover and what not and yes I do plan on paying you back ten fold so no worries there." Cami had no words but she was settling on the fact that it was a simple misunderstanding as she listened to Avery. That woman was always so quick to put a nail in the coffin for Ethan that it was easy to see why their marriage even had problems in the first place. I smiled at Artemis and then heard a bit of a noise down the all, I looked towards it but didn't see anything at all. I shrugged and returned my attention to my old friend.
"First thing we should do is head to the conference room. My wife and her assistant, both incredible ladies that I am sure you will love. But they are prepping the room, we have a big meeting and could use you there. So I will lead the way,"
I turned and nodded at her to follow me as I headed towards the conference room, I was excited to introduce her to both the ladies in my life.

Avery took a second and nodded. "Hell I did not know he was heading towards the conference room, come on let's go," she said as she grabbed Cami. Once they were in, she took a seat. Artemis smiled. It was nice to see Ethan feeling more like himself and speaking of such high volumes. "I always knew or felt like you had a abit of a light in you anyway but to see how it comes to life and in this business is amazing, I do hope that you know that." She followed. I smiled as I walked in the conference room. Nodding at Cami and Avery as I entered I answered my wife quickly
"Yes this is our newest hire and I think she will be exactly what we need. Especially after the whole Hurricane craziness. She was a world class detective before her powers were revealed and they basically ran her out of town because of it,"
