i just want to know what you know (tag x 2)

Alice was still waiting for word about her apartment and a lot had been going on since she's started in the Security Services. "I haven't gotten an apartment yet. Hopefully it won't be much longer" she mused hearing what the gift basket entailed. She had thought ARI knew all about her already but sometimes you got a surprise in life.

"He's my first relationship so I'm still trying to figure things out" she added. The process had been a steep learning curve so far and it didn't look like things were getting easier. Then Cami suggested they look for answers.

"Yes, Blackrock Cove is the location we found the downed helicopter. The OSE people would have left the beach by now but I doubt they'd be able to take the chopper with them. Can the archive be searched by location? Initially going back four years for strange reports; and this feels like something you'd find in the X Files" she further mused. Mulder and Scully would have a field day in this isle.

Cami Q.- Carter

Alice knew it wasn't too bad at the moment as she still had her room at the Ashford Arms; though something she could really call her own would be an improvement. "Thank you Cami. I'm still in the Ashford Arms for now so its not all bad" Alice replied. She knew things could have been worse for her if she wasn't there. Also given what the island had been through it would bound to take longer.

Cami then pulled up a digital map on a computer screen and picked out Blackrock Cove. "That's the place. It looks like a natural harbour and was probally used as one. As to if its safe or not it probally is most of the time if you can work with the tides. I spoke to the pilot of that chopper and he said all his electrical systems failed when out at sea and he just about made it there. Everybody made it out alive by the way. Can you magnify round here?" she asked pointing out the middle of the sand and partly shingle beach. That was were they'd found the palm tree that looked out of place.

"There was a palm tree that looked out of place. That was the second part of the mystery as escaping that portal got us back to the meeting room at Security Services" she added.

Adam was her first relationship but she could love a woman too. Whatever happened in her love life it would be difficult as her cop work took up a lot of time. That was a problem as old as time for police officers and jobs like theirs.

Cami Q.- Carter

Alice did remember the wild accusation that Ace had thrown round like throwing fuel on a fire. He'd accused an oddity or oddities of being involved and it hadn't been helpful then. Given what she found out it didn't seem possible given what it would take to disrupt the electrical systems of a modern helicopter and its backups at the same time. Simple bad luck still seemed like the cause.

"I really doubt there's oddities who could mess up a helicopter so badly that you disrupt all the electrical systems and backups at the same time but there might be some who could cause time slips; that's a long shot even with all the many and varied abilities we have in our kind. The alert is a good call though as we don't know if what Ace and myself was the first time this happened or not" Alice mused. There didn't seem to be simple answers; just more questions. As the map zoomed in the shape of the cove became more focused and the finger of land stood out clearly as it poked into the sea like a challenge to the natural order of things. And given what she knew but couldn't say to Cami pirates had used this island in the past; they'd even re-used already old buildings given she'd help find treasure during a downtime period. She just didn't want the Indiana Jones who'd been with her at the time to get into trouble.

"It does help. Thank you Cami and while we can't find many answers I still can't help feeling that island is taking this action. I know it dosen't sound rational and I certainly can't prove it but its just going to end up another hazard of island life I suppose" Alice added shrugging their shoulders. Ace and herself had at least brought it to the attention of authorities and explained how to get out of it and she'd add a guide about getting out of one of these situations to the archive.

She asked Cami for a sheet of letter paper and using her biro pen hand wrote a brief summary of events along with the things to look out for such as being moved to a new location without warning, you might lose any gear you had while that happened, the need to spot something out of place and which was the portal which needed jumped through and finally the need to think in three dimensions. She also recorded that it took metal to activate a portal before you could pass through one. Silver in their cases but each one might be different.

So handing this back to Cami she smiled a little. "Perhaps this will help others in the future" she mused.

Cami Q.- Carter

Alice knew there'd be no answers today or even in a few weeks time. What was going on was way too big for all of them. Anything would help though as Cami suggested a simulation. Assuming they could get Ace back here again.

"A simulation might help. Ace and myself could see something was happening. I just don't know if the normals from OSE had a clue what was going on or even realised how weird things were getting.I hoping Ace can figure that out if he calms down" Alice replied. Then Cami suggested something else.

"There's no known technology that can make happen what we went through; As crazy as this sounds it looks and feels like a natural phenomena. It needs a lot of further study but for now we just deal with it" she added with no real answers to give Cami. Just her experiences and feelings on the subject; which right now was a big pile of nothing.

Cami Q.- Carter

There was information that Alice knew she couldn't get. So Ace would have to figure out what OSE themselves knew about this if anything or if it even occured to them. Cami also had plenty to say and Alice listened,

"I just tend to spot things I suppose. It was the same growing up in the giant cage of the army base and I learned as well as noticing little details. I learned how to drive and shoot guns there and get part of the military mind. If they weren't so hateful to our kind I'd have made a good Military Police officer but they won't employ oddities no matter what benefits they'd bring" she quietly replied. A sad but true observation as only OSE even considered the idea. It wasn't just that mindset in the USA either; it was pretty much worldwide and she'd be called a freak by normals wherever she went.

So when her apartment was mentioned she added "something small and compact would do me. Brightly coloured walls would help as I like yellow or light pink". Certainly her favourite colours and the main colour choice for her blouses.

"Well we did the work together so its fair that credit is split if it is forthcoming. I don't mind either way as it happened as part of my duties" Alice commented. The serious cases she was investigating with Francis were more on her mind than this. She then added a little smile as these cases mattered more than anything to her.
