"Very smooth Ace" Alice sighed. Then sipped from her travel mug that still felt warm to the touch and even she couldn't deny Cami was right. "Cami, thank you for the help" she added looking to the woman and smiling slightly. Ace and herself were looking for the same answers but his behaviour wasn't helping.

"What are you waiting for?" Alice posed to Ace. "We've got work to do." She was calm and ready to work through these files and hoping he'd be in the right frame of mind to do so.

"I understand what you mean Ace but you're not dealing with black ops CIA here. You'll get more answers from Cami's files than you will from them. I know from personal experience and that's why I found it hard to deal with people in lab coats for years" Alice mused softly. Working in OSE probally bred paranoia rather than clear it up.

So as they looked ready to get some level of answers she added with a little smile "There's also things we can do from our end. I'll swing by the airport later on to check their Air Traffic Control records and perhaps there'll be OSE after action reports you can access. We weren't the only ones there during the weirdness.

So how far do you think we need to go back? I know for a fact that people have been here for centuries but how far do the records actually go back?"

He sighed. "It just does not add up Alice," he said once they were alone. "Is it magic? Is it some kind of loop?" he had so many questions and he liked to take things for face value but this particular instance had absolutely none. "Alright have you found anything from where you have been looking through those files I hope."

He took a second and gave a few thoughts. "How about we see if we can go back about fifteen years. I think it will honestly need to be more than that but maybe that will be a good start for us."

He took a second and then turned to Alice once again. "I am going to take a few seconds and photocopy everything here. I am even going to see what I can do when it comes to keeping these copies and maybe even start tracking other events. Do you want me to keep you in the know about it or would you prefer not to know anymore about this weird ass situation?"

He hated the thoughts of going back into that school library. "I will leave that part to you if we get where we need that part because I would rather burn that university down again than to ever step foot into it again honestly."

To say that she was interested in what was going on would be a true understatement but she literally knew no reason why her name would be tied to such a thing as she took a second. She was going to continue to give them space so that they could talk.

Alice figured the fact they they were still talking meant that she'd made a good enough impression already with him. So hearing his answer she also figured it was true. Not everybody had a good university experience. The university was the first proper educational facility she'd even gotten too since she'd never gotten to go to school with other children.

"All that sounds fair enough" she mused then added "yes we were talking about smaller questions. And this might give a way of finding those as well as answers". She'd located the sister document to the one she'd looked through previously and this was the archeology survey. These maps also had the rivers and certain landmarks marked on them so it was just a case of matching up those to find what old ruins there were.

Then a detail hit her. This map didn't have the ruined temple type complex recorded on it. So the Ashford's didn't know about that centuries old treasure stash either if you went by this. Pointing a slender finger at a certain spot on the map she showed an example. A site marked as a plantation house which meant it might have been sugar cane or some other crop or crops grown here. "So if you take this evidence habitation of the isle might go back to the 1600's but possibly slightly earlier than that". Which begged a question. With over 400 years to work through was could they find? By 1600 a lot of sea voyaging and colonising had been going on. The old name of the isle wouldn't have been any different.

She took photos of both maps on her phone so she could print these of later on. Which asked a question she vocalised. "You see the point our adventure happened? Why hasn't it been developed". She also pointed this out and it didn't look like there had been any recorded diggings down there. Perhaps something had stopped building near that unspoiled beach.

Perhaps he was mostly frustrated because not understanding the simple why did not come easy to him. Maybe some part of him also blamed himself but e ither way it was fine. " I am sorry if I was disrespectful Cami. Those were not my true intentions, in all honesty I have no idea what my true intentions are besides making sure that if anything fishy is going on we are able to get to the bottom of it. Alice and I do need some time to wrap our minds around what happened though, that is a fact. If you ever experience one you will need that time as well."
