He believed that the first way that you met someone said a lot. Most the time it turned out to be bad but all that you could was to let it play out and it would go as it needed to be as he felt the crash before he had realized that it was actually happening. Just his luck in a way he supposed as he seen that it was a young lady that had barreled into him. Poor her almost he thought but the truth was that it was the both of them that were out of luck in a way.

"You alright?" he asked. He at least at the moment seemed polite enough that almost anyone would talk to him. It was a good skill to have when you worked for the group that wanted nothing but to harm those damn oddities.

Ace had once been told that he was perceptive of others that was why he was most the time good at his job but he also knew that sometimes it did not mean that he noticed everything. "Sorry once again about that, it is mostly my fault but you seem to be okay now which is always what we strive for."

He took a second to wonder why she clenched her fists but did not say anything aloud. "You sure you alright? The weather here can be cold one minute and warm the next, perhaps we should find you something to keep you a little warmer? I only suggest it because I know going around with clenched fists can not be good all the time."

He always thought that people were unique and well he also was not sure that if you ate or drunk anything on the island that it did not effect you. "If you say so," he said as he smiled a bit. Working for the people that he did one was taught to look out for signs but at the moment he was just thinking that perhaps she was nervous.

He did not blame anyone for being on high alert. "Oh," he said as he shook her hand. "I'm Ace," he said. "Nice to meet you," he said as he removed his hand. However any time that Ace was touched, it was a little sensitive as he slightly shook. "Where you headed? Maybe we are going in a similar direction."

"Damn molecular genetics?" That was a tough field but he thought that was good. "I think that's amazing, genes are amazing," still he felt like everyone had a reason for the things that they studied. He took another second. "I think I'll pick the tea," he said as he nodded. "So does that mean that you have a high interest in molecules themselves or just molecules when it comes to genetics of people?"

"I do," he said. He took a few seconds to gather his bearings for he was pretty familiar with the island, another thing that came in handy when you worked for Ose. "If I recall correctly if we take a left at the first intersection it should be the best place to get that cup of tea."

The accent, he slightly recognized it and then he shook his head. "So what brings you to the island? You like tropical places?" He had long ago if he asked questions, general ones then you could learn a lot about others.

It was always a fine line seeing people and how they interacted among others and Ace liked that. He knew that one would never know a lot about any one person especially when you had just met but he had to admit that even a small part of him was curious. "Oddities are, well I am going to use the word unique. I mean there is so much that we can learn from them and ourselves that it almost opens up a world of linear possibilities."

Smart people were harder to get close too not because the work was not worth it but because he always felt like they felt as if they had to be constantly guarded. He began to walk none the less and looked back to make sure she was still coming along. "We must all align ourselves somewhere and fall with the consequences when they start to fall," he said. He did believe that and he had made his choice long ago as he stopped and took a second to look left, right, and left again. "I mean who are we if we are not willing to go the distance for what we think is right? No one wants to fight for a cause that is well no puns intended but dead in the water before it begins."
