Sophie knew how much she could tell of what was going on but others would advance the ideas into something that would get the attention of the world beyond this island. “I came up with other developments spawned from the basic flight suit. Starting with armour and weapon systems connection points” she replied as dinner continued. She was an ideas person who could be an engineer herself over time. “I want to make a bigger version; like a two person flying tank as it’s clear we’ll have to defend our island for years to come. Hearing this from her made her wonder just what she could end up doing by the time she was an adult. “I might be able to add to your ideas. The guns you need depend on the enemy you will fight but usually a mounted machine gun will get the job done. Otherwise use an assault rifle for smaller obstacles”. She wondered if her own family understood the meaning of that sometimes but that was a subject for a different time. “You should also see about adding a melee weapon as well” Rebecca suggested. It was another option that you didn’t see on a vehicle but on a suit like that it could prove useful but what would work better? “If you’ve a gun on an arm add a big bayonet to it. That’s the simplest option” she suggested as the idea took form. Mounting on an arm or wrist would mean other challenges to overcome but that could be overcome. Incorporating weapons were not difficult but making sure they stuck around and had real use could be but she did not see this being an issue for Sophie at the moment. She never had that much thought process as a child being a fan of the be pretty club but she did find this stimulating. Sophie wasn't sure what she could show or the level of what she could tell. So it would have to be bare bones information for now. "I might be able to but that will depend on progress. It's under a level of secrecy as well" she replied to Alicia. Sophie clearly wouldn't be a member of the being pretty club as her ideas lay elsewhere. “I’m sure others have tried to make the rocketeer a reality but Sophie has managed it with help” Rebecca replied and agreed that food was a good idea. “Let’s serve up” she added getting glasses down for their drinks. She had asked Sophie what she liked and soda was occasionally consumed. So the adults had half a bottle of white wine while Sophie got the island knock off version of Coca Cola. Sophie gave a happy smile as she took her seat as her mother served the food up. If things had been different this could well have been a regular thing in her life and it still might be. Rebecca having hear the promises of all the candidates wasn't sure about any of them. "Sometimes you are better of with the devil you know my love" she suggested. Not that she could vote in a US election as she was Canadian but that was beside the point. "I find it hard to trust any of them; its hard to trust politicians in general buts its a choice for people of the USA to make" she added. Sophie at some point might be able to vote as she had US citizenship but not just yet. She was also more trusting than her mother was but just as careful. "I've heard some of what they had to say as well. Not everything is a lie or a promise they don't intent to keep. They also might not be able to carry it out once they get into office" she suggested. As strange as it seemed she seen it like building bricks but even then she did not see bricks as steady as they always seemed to be portrayed but she had known that some things that might be flimsy were tougher than they looked so it all just depended.
