Madison may not have been taking the actual teaching of tennis these days but she did collect four near teenage girls for their weekly tennis sessions in her car. Community service she supposed but given how valued the children were here she did the collecting and returning when these evening sessions started. Once these four finished their course another four children would pick up those spaces and this would continue. The staff and ARI knew their value and what they could do in the future was all important.
So with four excitable girls bouncing out of her car and running into the kitchen that was her duty done. The things you did when you worked for ARI but perhaps a minibus could be arranged for group outings like this if it was going to continue long term.
She got out to stretch her legs and walked into the orphanage lounge proper. These long days were deceptive and there was still a while before she got home to snuggle with her wife.

She dropped all of her books because trying to gather everything for college was not working out for her and still here she was. "Crud," she said as she looked around and sighed. Somebody else was round here apart from the excitable girls in the kitchen. Looking round she seen an older girl and she wondered what help she did need. There was only one way to find out and that was to help her. “What help do you need?” she softly asked walking over to Juana. She had books that she could see for starters and helping out here was showing her more of what was going at ground level. Juana Ercel |

Nodding Madison looked for the book that had went astray. It wasn't faraway so she knelt down to pick it up and then handed it back to Juana. "Hello Juana. Here's your book" Madison replied with a smile. "I'm Madison and I'm starting to help out a bit more round here. I used to run the tennis coaching before I transferred to ARI but I'll still be doing the transport runs when there's students from here taking part" she added with a smile. It was just like a mom taking her children to ballet or soccer in a way but while somebody living here long term could find something similar to brothers and sisters there did need to be adults they could relate to as well. "Oh that sounds fun," she added once she had the chance to straighten up her books and take a moment to catch her breath. "Enrolling in a few classes and after that when I am able trying my best to do things that I never have one of those is taking even more swimming lessons and maybe even starting a small dance group. Juana did sound as sporty as Madison was. Dance was a sport with art if you really thought about it. Also going to the university too by the sound of it. "I did my masters degree here so you will find the university to your liking. The sports centre has a public swimming pool and a big gymnastics hall. You should be able to dance there" she replied with a smile. There was plenty of opportunities here and given a music group was set up here why not a dance group? “Once you get the app for the digital newspaper you could place an advert” Madison replied. She took out her own phone to show Juana what it looked like and you couldn’t really function with a dumb phone round here. You did need a smart phone or a tablet computer to know what was going on. “It felt strange not having a physical newspaper when I came here but I did get used to it. The app tells you what’s on at the movie theatre, allows you to book trips and restaurants as well as telling the news” she cheerfully added. Juana Ercel |

It did help to have everything in one place. You still needed to keep your passwords strong and different even with fingerprint id systems but she did find this useful but she used a tablet computer to read magazines and proper books. Her job did have a lot of reading but she did use proper notebooks for work. “The phone dosen’t cover everything but most things are. It does help a lot but a tablet computer lets you see more” she replied. “I tend to read scientific papers, books and magazines on that”. Juana Ercel |

Tennis was a side interest now but still had no trouble in arranging games even with a busy life in ARI. ‘I’ve been playing tennis for a long time and it was my job briefly. Not anymore since I’m a full tine scientist. I also did gymnastics and track and field too but didn’t lose the flexibility” she replied. She still did that occasionally so she wouldn’t lose the ability and actually found it improving. “It’s good to have an interest outside of studies. Life isn’t all about work” she added.
