Madison was used to her name being shortened but she drew the line at Mad. Madi was fine by her. She smiled back saying "I still get sore muscles and I've been doing tennis for years. You do use different muscles in tennis than you do running. The hot shower dealt with most of them". Then she had a suggestion saying "they do an all day and night breakfast menu here as well as the eternal lunch and dinner. so whatever you want they'll either have ready or be able to make. I'm thinking about a pancake stack". Something sweet and fluffy would do for tonight going into the next morning. She'd leave the coffee as it would stop her sleeping; thoughts about Mallory might still do that. Now they entered and found some customers here. People who worked late like Madison did. She nodded. "That reminds me of the first time that I tried to ride a bicycle. I did not realize how much of your upper leg muscles that you do indeed use until a couple of days later." She nodded. Madison had learned to ride a bicycle too. She hadn't brought one from New York and hadn't acquired one over here but you never forgot how to do it. "I found the same learning to ride a bike. I learned along with my brother. He laughed when I fell off and I pushed him off in return. Things were a bit awkward after that for a while" she mused and picked out a table. One for two and near a window. She went to the servery and placed the order before she joined Mallory at the table. "It looks like we're both getting something sweet tonight" she added. Facing each other at the table Madison was tempted just to kiss Mallory now and not have to wait for the sweet things. You still needed to wait for those as you just couldn't have dessert before dinner.She smiled and said "that state of affairs didn't last very long. Taylor helps my dad in the business these days. I've been mainly round the university, sports centre and most of the town proper. The isle is big enough to be able to be explored but haven't really spent much time at the beaches. I'm a regular here as it was handy for when I was student". At this point Madison knew a bit more. Just looking back at Mallory made her think there was going to be more than attraction. Listening to Mallory made Madison wonder if the woman facing her got too busy in life. It could happen and she could help change that. "that might be another thing to teach you Mallory. I'm a regular in this night club you might like. Perfect for helping to solve that problem. It's called Mavericks and a haven for people like me. I'm into girls you know" she cheerfully teased and then added "sea swimming was something I'd thought about but you couldn't really do in New York. The sea's too cold. "A club?" As many things as she had did, going to a club was one of the ones that had not yet been done. "IF you want to then sure we can one day, well one night rather." She laughed. "I had no idea," she said as she laughed playfully. "Yeah the swimming here is wonderful but I mean you also need to be more careful too I believe there might be some more wild animals in the sea but we could go one day if you wanted." "So we've two choices" Madison mused with a smile. "I think the club sounds like the best bet for starters if we can line up our schedules". The sea swimming would take a bit more planning but was still viable. "So where's the best spot to swim round here?" she posed. Having a sense of the geography would help figure this out. "The best place to swim is probably down off the pier or off of one of the docks though anyone does swimming anywhere. I am actually looking forward to the club and if I do not have time I will make it. I think it will do me good to get out in the end anyhow." She had never truly been on what she would call a date, because she never seen the reason to go up on one. She knew that people would consider that sad but she did not. Madison always tried to to live honestly and it was better for her. It did cost her at times but they had time on their side. "I always try and be honest. Living a lie is no good for anybody and I knew I was into girls when I was thirteen. So add that to normal high school dramas as they knew about it" she replied.
