"I'm sure it's possible Damon. Not everything gets recorded on maps but it makes sense. If we find signs of former habitation which is possible given the age of this structure and the treasure we found you'd need water to allow that" Alice replied knowing they still didn't have all the evidence they needed. The only likely way to get it was to see how far they could go east.

"What does the map say?" she added still letting her flashlight do the work. "Yeah as much as I'd hate to be stuck here its still exciting finding the answers. It looks like our answers are going to found by going east". Her voice lightened as she was clearly enjoying herself but staying switched on just in case they found trouble.

Damon Lex

Alice calmly considered the map and mentally overlayed their location on it. Even without a compass she had a good sense of overall direction. Holding her flashlight still to be able to do this she had an idea.

"We should find the upper floor. Going that way" she replied drawing a slender finder across the map to the right as she seen it. "In fact I can scout ahead if you want. We've found no traps so far. Just slightly tricky stairs and a door that needed you to rest on it to open. So what's those areas supposed to be?"

She indicated the alcoves on the map that if accurate might just be that; if the map wasn't it might be other ways to get in and out. Either way they'd be heading north east from the start of the path that led to main circular area.

She looked back at Damon with a smile eager to hear what he had to say about her idea. It might be risky but she could stay of the ground if need be.

Damon Lex

"Got it Damon" Alice replied and given they'd a little time before they did make their move added "its my first ancient ruin. Same goes for secret passages". She seen he was worried about this but could quickly change from running to flight if need be. She could also do track and field along with tennis so could move fast.

Now she watched his hand carefully waiting on the signal and keeping a good hold on the bags. They'd need these later on. 

Damon Lex

Having gotten to another room in one piece Alice still looked watchful. However seeing Damon fall was unexpected; the brief look she got at the map had told her was another level and as her brain quickly processed this information she jumped down the hole after him. Not knowing for sure how far they'd fall she immediately went into hover mode and then descended gracefully.

"Damon, you alright down there?" she yelled. There was no way to catch him on the way down given she needed the time to start her flight and she'd also left their supplies on the upper level.

Alice didn't realise her yell would echo and she screwed up her face as she tried to keep her flight steady. As it was a natural ability she didn't need to think about it to carry it out. So stayed on that steady descent.

"I'll take a look round while I'm up here" she called back sounding relieved that Damon was alright. So fired up her flashlight again to get a better look once she hovered again. "I see stones like the ones above but wait. Some have carvings on them" she called down in a quieter voice this time as she'd learned that lesson already. It might be another room with a high ceiling but she couldn't see what was down there. Damon could and they'd figure this out between them.

Damon Lex

Alice wasn't sure if they even had any rope but they wouldn't need it here. She hadn't packed any for starters so hoped he had. There wasn't even anytime to look when she heard him squealing. She couldn't see what was down there in the dark below but she did have the flashlight; perhaps the only one they had now.

"I'm coming down there. When I arrive I'll give you my flashlight as I'll need both arms to lift you out of there. Just don't freak out any more" she called into the dark and then swooped down like an angel. The beam swept round the room and she seen what he seen; a nightmare straight out off an Indiana Jones film. Not as many in this snake pit as he'd faced but enough to give anybody pause even if they hadn't freaked out. So it took a moment or few to figure out where a safe place to land was. They were more spread out which also helped. 

Running over to him she kicked out with her boots and sent two snakes flying. "Damon, if you can do something about those snakes now would be a good time. If not hang on to me". Then she shoved the flashlight into his hands. Giving him something else to deal with might help his state of mind and she still had carvings to show him.
