"Well Damon lets exchange numbers and then I can check my work schedule" Alice cheerfully replied. So once numbers were exchanged (this being Alice's personal phone not her work one) she was able to check on her iPhones calendar. She was looking for her end times in the evenings she was free as there was a Thursday evening she'd need to be here but Friday evening looked promising. She was off the next day too. "Unless the skull had a name tag on it I doubt you'd know who previously owned it. I haven't been here that long but do you know if people lived on the island before the Ashford Family bought this island? You could have found an older skull?" she posed looking back at him. She was expressing the possibilities that entered her head and given how weird this island was tin foil hat wearers would also have a field day along with the ghostbusters. Perhaps the truth lay somewhere in the middle? "I can do Friday evening after work and I'm off Saturday. That seems to be the best time in my schedule" she added with a smile. If that worked for him then this expedition would be a go. This would be a test of her courage too as she truly had to test this new her that emerged from the rabbit hole. Damon Lex |

He nodded as he followed along with what she said. "You ask a lot of questions, I do like this," he said. Curious was such a good thing and dangerous too but he still knew that he had to be careful around everyone. "Alright Friday it is then," he said. Still this day was good but it was not long until Friday rolled along. Friday Evening Anytime before he set out for adventure he made sure to do his best and come prepared so he had packed bottled waters and nuts and berries and even protein bars, a couple of boiled eggs and various other things as he waited to see if Alice was still going to show up as he sent the following text. When Friday night did finally arrive Alice got the text as she was ten minutes away from the meet up point. Questioning was the beginning of wisdom after all. She had dressed warmly with jeans, boots and a enough top layers covered with a white hoodie to keep warm. She also had a large torch in her carried backpack along with energy drinks, breakfast bars and chocolate bars. Her hands were also gloved. She texted back <I'm nearly there. Wave when you see me. I'm wearing a white hoodie> Figuring she'd make better time than walking she took to the skies to speed up things. Damon would see her in the sky even before she landed in front of him. Damon Lex |

Alice hovered for a few seconds and waved back before she picked a landing spot. It wasn't to show off but to make sure she landed safely and on solid ground. So picking out a likely spot a few yards away from him her touchdown was graceful but not as disruptive as a helicopter. He still would have felt some of the energy of her flight but only a little as as that had to go somewhere. "Hey Damon" she called out cheerfully adding "so where do we go from here?" The off white feathers kind of matched her hoodie and she had chosen that colour with care. It meant she just might be able to be found in the case of a mishap. He nodded and spoke. "We are only going to walk about a fourth of a mile and then we will be where we need to for the true adventure to start. My apologies that the starting place is not any closer, I really tried to find a way but this was as close as I could get us." So they wouldn't have to walk much further and she listened to what Damon had to say. She did see that he had brought things just like she had but a torch was always a good idea at night. Almost elegant? She supposed she still was a bit rusty with flight as you were always learning about it; is was an extension of your body after all. "I brought a torch and other useful things in my bag" she replied reversing the pack so it rested on her shoulders but faced outwards rather than tangling up her wings. "Also energy drinks, chocolate and breakfast bars". They wouldn't know how long they'd be out there for starters. "Please lead the way" she mused with a smile. Torches were amazing though he always had a slight fear that he might hurt himself on them but he was glad that she had thought to bring one. That was the good thing about having someone else to work with, they often thought of things you did not so you got a lot more brought together. "I like the way that you think and thank you for bringing more supplies as well," he said as he began to walk. "Alright follow me," he said as he walked. Alice would have brought more for a search and rescue mission but what she did bring should prove sufficent for an adventure like this. She didn't need a compass or map a lot of the time as she could make her own elevated position very easily. She smiled back as Damon replied. He'd thanked her and now he was leading the way. She still kept looking round her as this short walk continued. She was adjusting her eyes to the darkness as well as she'd only use the torch if it proved necessary. So far there wasn't anything that caught her eye so the adventure would start once they got there. "Thanks Damon" she mused. A flash of movement caught her attention so she pointed it out. Most animals were afraid of humans and she didn't know of many on this island that could hurt them. However the nature of this island meant you had to be ready for everything. "I'll take a quick look" she quietly said and took off for just that quick look. She flew ahead a little and then kept going until she seen what had caused the movement. Just a dog, possibly stray as it had no collar and she flew back to Damon. "Looks like a normal dog just minding its own business" she mused. Damon Lex |

Maybe she had just the right amount of adventure within her as he watched. He walked below keeping up. "Well I am glad for that, if it was anything else I might have been scared," he joked. He joked a lot around people that he did not know. A few miles later they finally came up on it.  "Ta-da," he said excitedly. "Welcome to your adventure, well i mean our adventure that is. Alice had walked the rest of most of the way only taking flight to check out another possibilities along the way. They all drew blanks and a few miles later they were at the start of their adventure. The wind caught her long hair as it blew in this valley. They'd need the torch soon enough so she took the backpack of her chest and felt some relief on her boobs at last. So she opened this up and handed it to Damon as he seemed to have some idea of where he was going. Add in that it was dark already and she'd reason to be cautious. "The start of our adventure indeed. This is where things could go all kinds of wrong" Alice mused back in a quiet voice her eyes looking everywhere. The ground seemed quite broken up and they were facing some kind of entrance to who knew what. She fluttered of the ground a little to get a better look at the entrance so they might have some idea of what they were facing but it might well go deeper rather than longer as she looked round the back of it. His sense for adventure sometimes would get him in trouble but he had made sure not to make it be like that today because he wanted to have a fun time but not a bad time or too much of a scary time that he scared Alice off. That was not how you made friends at least not to him. "Nothing will go wrong. Now they both had a torch as Damon led the way down the stairs. She shone her flashlight down the side of the walls as she picked her way down the stairs. He was also sure nothing would go wrong but you never could tell. "At least I've good boots on" she mused hearing it might get wet. She still looked and listened carefully as these steps continued downward and some looked quite broken up. So tried to illuminate these as she seen them. So that answered one question. People had been here before it became Ashford Island. This also looked quite ancient and perhaps the skull Damon had found was also ancient. There were initial answers but also further questions to answer. "Hold on Damon" she cautioned as she let her light linger on a large hole. It was big enough to trap a foot or leg but perhaps it was a clue to what was under the stairs. Damon Lex |
