"Come on in," she said as she dropped her hands. They were tired and sore and bruised plus with her welcoming Hunter into her home she did not see anything wrong with it. He seemed adjusted but now came the hard part, the talking which was something that they had never seemed to be good at. "Can I get you something to drink?" Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

Life was not easy was the motto that he should be learning to live by and yet here he was simply being jerked and pulled into every which way which was Daphne but he honestly did not mind. Though it seemed that she had mostly found herself there were still parts of her that were not fulfilled and they needed that in an art sense. He had never actually been to Daphne's apartment but one time with Daphne and that was a mess but every story had a place of origin. "I'm good," he said. She however seemed less comfortable now that she did not have people around to protect her and had to actually talk to him. Daphne Quinzell-Jaxon

She found herself a bottled juice and took a seat. "Hunter we have been through a lot and coming to find you simply coked out of your mind in Germany? Not on my plans and yet I showed up." It was frustrating, sometimes infuriating but they were indeed stuck with one another as she looked at him. "Your issues are deep and so are mine and we need to fix that." Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

"Mmhm," he said. "Look Daphne no one asks you to show up and simply time after time you do and that is okay." It was not like they were not both skating and skirting around the obvious. "For far too long it seems like we both are dancing around the obvious when we do not need too." This was their life now, doing things that they did not understand for reasons that were beyond their control. "It was a good trip and now everyone is back where they belong aren't they?" She blinked and took a second. "I did not come willingly and I am afraid that what you have done to me I have done to your father which means that we need to nip this in the bud because I do not want to have a bit of magic that puts people under my control. It's not fun and it's not good either." Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

"Oh well," he paused. "Dad's strong besides once those jewels get here it is the last thing that I need." He wondered how long she had known. "Since New York with dad?" he asked trying to make sure that he placed it correctly. "Look at you, living that fairy tale life," he said as he stood up. "In that case may I have my jars now?" "Nope," she said as she finished her juice and disposed of her carton. She took a seat in the middle of the floor and crossed her legs and invited him to sit down in front of her as she thought. It had been still hard a little bit for her to get a grip on her ability but it was simply because she did not use her hands. She was not like Hunter and used to it, it still stung like a bad irritation and probably always would as she held them up. She slowly began to sway them as the crystal glass began to sprout from her hands, forming butterflies made of the same crystal glass as her back lit up. Her and the art had been one for the past few weeks and being in Germany and going through that musuem had only enhanced it which reminded her that she did need to send a thank you note to Mallory and Madison. "A little help Hunter?", she asked. Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

He watched cautiously as she moved and then look at that Daph was sitting on more than she had shown even him but he was impressed as he clapped and he looked at her. Oh baby butterflies! He chuckled at her asking him for help. "Not that you need it," he said a little intimidated as he still kept his distance from her because art and butterflies, oh my. None the less after about thirty seconds of pacing he did calmly take a seat in front of her and held up his own hands. "Been a minute since I've actually used both my hands at once for something like this." He could also feel the slight irritation that her hands seemed to be producing. A sure signal for the men in this family that they were connected beyond anything as he slightly bit the inside of his jaw to help keep the pain down. Then in the gentle swoop of moves he interlocked his hands into hers as he felt the crystal butterflies against his skin and then he spoke as he made sure that his eyes were doing intense eye contact with hers. "Create as you will Daphne." She did need a canvas after all for the many small arts that hopefully would help her create an eventual masterpiece. Lay the work for your craft always. He ran his tongue across the inside of his mouth as he kept it closed. He could taste the slight bitterness of blood from biting his tongue down so that he would not scream. Daphne Quinzell-Jaxon

She had learned if she was going to create with her husband then she had to start with things that appealed to him and butterflies always seemed to weave their way in as she watched his hands. "Not as smooth as you think you are," she said as she laughed through the lie because to be honest he was but she kept her concentration as best as she could. "Stop looking at me like that," It was too deep for her as she carefully put her hands up against his face. "You do have such a pretty face Hunter." He knew that though she still remembered him ranting and raving about it which made it the most delicate of canvases in the end as she carefully drew her crystalized hands carefully across his face. "Be still if you will, do not want to cut you on accident." She carefully turned his face and drew a small line from the bottom of his left ear to the right side of his face right above his eyebrow. "Okay Hunter, your tun." Creating was a two team process as she carefully drew in a breath. Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

He had never imagined in his wildest days that his face would become her canvas but here they were and for once he did not mind sitting still as he listened to her. "I'm not really looking at you anyway Daph," he said. The boy was gone however, deeper than a lust finally at a point of love he supposed as he finally swallowed his blood and felt his head turn. His turn? For, oh right she still had a broken heart. That was fine she had chose to keep it and he could work it. He carefully unlocked their other hands and put his hand on her heart and his fingers began to slightly glow. It opened up a feeling of complete with his magic that he had not felt while he had been here until now. He slightly pushed against her chest and spoke. "It's going to hurt a little but the art as long as my hand remains here will heal you as it entangles with my magic." Yeet~ As much as he hated to admit it, Beyonce was another staple in love stories at least when it came to his mother's side and Hunter was half his father and half his mother so he pressed again and then he softly hummed. It was low and slow, but enough for the music notes to appear around them. "It's been a while since I've seen these notes Daph." Her art, he now understood it. His love for music but her art, the second thing that they had created without either of them knowing it, not counting their first daughter. He heard her slightly draw her breath in and he followed suit. "I guess the times of pain were worth it," he said as gently blew across her face. So many songs across this love/hate story but he kept that thought to himself as the pages slowly began to appear. They were no longer empty as the music notes attached themselves to the pages. He smiled and it quickly turned into a smirk. "Told you, every princess gets a hell of a musical number." Daphne Quinzell-Jaxon

Now that she looked back on it her first run in with Hunter was starting to seem less and less accidental and more on purpose as she closed her eyes. She had questions about the jump but she was not going to ask them at the moment. "You did say that," she said as she swept her hands across the pages and listened to the sounds. Each note different, each sound different. "I've been hearing it for a few weeks," she said as she moved her hands up and down and the sounds began to fill the apartment. The crystals slightly shattered against the notes and that put a small ringing in her ear as she watched his hands. She was trusting him to at the least be partially honest. "I always knew when I made the choice to keep my heart broken, that one day it would make sense. I feel like today is that day." Learn to use her hands more, let her hands guide the way she thought as she looked at his. "I did not realize that day with the piano and the keys and even these," she said as she watched them. "Broken Hunter," she said as she looked at him. "I honestly always thought that your mother pushed for the keys because it had to be music and then," she could feel the water slowly starting to form in her hands. "Then I realized broken things can be ever so pretty, that is art and that is our story." She looked at him again and then watched as the water in her hand washed away. "Behind that pretty face, broken but no worries, you are art and lucky for you, I know a thing or two about that." She looked down at her hand and spoke. "Brush," she said as she watched it appear and float in the air and she spoke still quiet. "Turn Hunter, I need to get your back." Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

He was a little more than scared as he watched this but it was nothing like a broken fear and he had gotten through that. That little brush trick though that really got him as he found it a little hard to catch his breath from the fear or a weird feeling of euphoria. "Well you are no longer broken Daph. You have learned to pick up the pieces gloriously even with the melody." He should be scared of it but no he was embracing it. It was it's own shade of softness as he turned around and removed his shirt. "If you could do me a door, that'd be great." Doors opened and doors closed everyone knew that. He thought for a second and then turned around. He blinked a second and then turned back around so she could have his back once again. He was still learning to do mostly right as he tucked his hands under his legs. No, he did not like that as he removed them and crossed them in his lap. He then undid them and looked down at them the magic steadily flowing. "A door for a door perhaps," he said as he began to outline a door, his concentration and focus still. "We could use the magic and go through what you draw." He straightened himself up as he thought. "Oh Daph, the pieces, we need the pieces." Many many times he had wearily signaled that he, no he was not the monster hiding under the bed. He had simply been happy to provide the distraction. Daphne Quinzell-Jaxon

He squirmed so much that she stopped and then he turned around and back again. "You are talking a trade?" she asked as she watched him moving and then stopped. "I have the pieces but it's a bit too early but we do need to test it at some point." If he could be still and let her work it would be better. "Hunter it was not easy to get them but studying the art did me good. I was able to open my eyes to a lot," but she was not thanking him because he had made it hard during that time too always seeming to pull her away with his behavior. She finally snapped her fingers and the paints appeared in front of her as she threw her brush to the side. If she were to ever get control over this art ability she needed to dive in as she poured the colors across her hands and then pressed them against his back as she watched them drip. "I will clean the mess up after now let's see," she said. A door, she found that to be both a strange but also odd request too. "Where would you go?" She was curious though at the moment it was her who was scared a little. Hunter had been calm in Germany and so far was here as well. "Germany again?" she asked as she began to move the paints around trying to grasp the image in her head. "Or," she said as she pushed the rainbow of colors aside and decided to focus on the lush green. "The forest." She had an idea. "Hunter, what good is a hunter without his forest?" She slightly shook her head as she watched the paint go across his back and she thought she could see something slightly but it could have just as easily be paint fumes. "A path Hunter," she said as she began to mark one as she picked up her brush and watched as the brush flowed along his back. "The art supplies have a mind of their own thanks to your and your damn magic." Hunter Jaxon-Quinzell

"Life is not easy Daph and no, no trades." He did not any longer feel like he needed to trade with her tit for tat and this for that. Where would he go? Who knew, Hunter traveled as he pleased and coming to this island it had been the longest that the adult version of himself stayed anywhere. "No Germany though it was nice." Oh, she was talking forests and making puns off of his name which made him laugh. Her pushing on the green though, he heavily hated it. It brought back the flashes of the green eyed monster that his mother had turned into as the memories played in his head but he stayed still. Stronger for it in some ways but weaker in others. "People should learn to veer from the path sometimes," he said as he turned around so her path would stop and drip no longer straight. He could still feel the brush painting along his back as he stood up. Paint was falling everywhere as he looked down at it and took his shoes off. "I will help you clean it up after," he said as he reached over and picked orange. "I have always been someone who felt like a person should always use your hands in everything even food," he said as he laughed. He carefully stepped to Daphne and carefully pulled her face towards him. He turned his head and looked as if he was examining her actual face and then he finally spoke. "How about some glasses Daph," he said as he moved the paint from ear to ear and made square frames. He gently pushed a little magic into the paint as he watched them form now. "You scare me now sometimes." He was never one to shy away from fear though. Daphne Quinzell-Jaxon

There were still shades of control in Hunter's touch something she had thought that he would loosen up on but no still there as she looked and did not sigh she simply heard what he said about paths and fears. "I should not Hunter," she said as she felt the magic as it went across her face and she adjusted the very real glasses now. "When people show us things that we are not used to it is scary but those things and these things in particular are to be good ones." What would she gain for pissing him off? Nothing that was what so why run that chance at all. She spoke. "I have been scared a lot but we got through that," she said as she moved out from his grip. "I am going to tell you this and you just need to listen and then you can take it how you want." She did not know if this would work but she was willing to try. "I love you and not just because I can but as a choice and I just wish you knew that." It was the one thing that she could not wish for which did make her want to cry but she did not. All she could do was to put her words out there. "I do not even blame you like I did at first because it is not your fault that you do not know what love is no that I blame on your mother but I would like it if you tried as best as you can understand for our children." If Hunter could love their children and not just see them as kids that he needed for his own being then she would live with that. "I also really wish that you would wish to see the forest I painted when I had nowhere else to turn for my thoughts." She got up and found an old bucket and sponges and started to fill the bucket with water. Once that was done she moved back to the floor and handed him a sponge. "Let's clean this before it stains."
