Amber nodded as they wouldn’t get much answers out here. At some point they’d need to return the bat and knife to the food van but their date had been spoiled big time by people who had their thinking set back in the dark ages. It was clear what she had to fight for from this point onwards and Lyra and Levi’s future depended on this nation enduring.
“We’ll lock the door when we get back and wait this out” she said once they got moving again. There wasn’t much more to say but she’d check on the children in her care as well once she was safe herself.
