This carnival might get busy later on but right now for Amber it was about just time with Blair. Now dressed for a summers day she seen her girlfriend once she got there and made her way over. The daily grind might get you down eventually on top of life’s unexpected things but today felt special. Amber also seen signs for a funfair that was part of this carnival events. She doubted it would have been as big as the large on that was there the previous summer but hopefully it would be fun. "There's always something new here. I was told there was a baseball game here last year. We are that way but we don't have to go far for a little break" Amber replied adding a little kiss. A plan was brewing in her head and they wouldn't even have to leave the island to do this. "How about a day and a night in an out of city location? Perhaps find a coastal boarding house near one of the other settlements" she suggested. Blair King |

Doing couple things without pressure was good as she was glad for the kiss, it being shown in her face with a small red flush as she listened lifting her head up as she still looked around as they walked. People were branching off in different directions and in groups of varying sizes round them. A common direction was obvious as they led to the carnivals exits. “Let let them go first. Then we can slip out slightly later. A food van could be a hiding place for now” she suggested. She moved so that other people could go and she took a second and spoke. "I am fine with that," she said as she thought trying not to freak out. "I do kind of wish I had not forgotten my fire gun but it is nothing that they will just let me carry around with me which in places and times like this I do completely get." "Yeah the one time you could get to use it as well" Amber agreed. So reaching a food truck that was close the owner had grabbed the takings but not closed up. She knew they couldn't stay here long but perhaps they could find useful items; particularly as the car was still attached to this trailer that had its own generator. She located a baseball bat under the counter along with a large chefs knife on display. Obviously the owner believed in self defence but didn't get to take these before they had to go. "At least this is something" she added quietly offering Blair the choice of weapon. Something was better than nothing. Blair King |

She followed and did laugh though it was not a laughing situation. “Hopefully we won’t need to use these but we’ll keep on going now we’re equipped” she replied. This was a high tension situation and sometimes you needed to laugh to deal with that. The knife felt comfortable in her hand. She also handed Blair a tinned soda as they’d need a sugar rush later on. So off they went seeing the exit while their luck held. She was not letting this mess with her head too much and while she knew it was not good she still felt like it could be okay if taken care of properly.
