There was some dates they had that were just them and you needed that as a couple. Today it was a family day as a contented Ella rested in her stroller looking cute. A pink baby dress with the Exeter Chiefs bucket hat was a photo David had already send onto his mother they went out. How long could that survive a messy ice cream? This fairground had something for everyone and they might even run into people they knew. She knew an important part of family was getting out so here they were and honestly whenever children were involved it seemed things went okay so she was glad that her, Ella, and David were getting out today. Given this was the fair you could run into anybody you knew but this was a family day. “I think so too. We’ll find an activity we all can do. This was a smaller fair than last year but still had plenty of options. “That sounds like a plan” David replied and they had a choice of simple games once they got a good look round. “What about the darts game?” he suggested. By now Ella wanted up so David took her first which left Peyton with the stroller. A curious child like Ella strived round here and once at the games they got to see that the darts was simple but needed quite a bit of accuracy. They'd gotten some cash changed into tokens before they got here as well so they could just hand these over whatever the game or amusement. "They look like pretty small roundels but if we hit them often enough we'll bring back some nice things" he replied. This stall tended to have things like anime figures and weird keyrings. As she looked around she knew it was okay to be out and damn just how many people were here? She was starting to lose count but she was not scared by that it meant that a good population was something you wanted for a good time out. As this fairground was part of the carnival you had plenty of people coming and going. “Hopefully we’ll do well with this. These might be a bit small for Ella but there’s toys further down in other stalls” he cheerfully replied as their daughter enjoyed being with them. “I like the sound of that idea. Ella would make a good big sister and we can do something about that” David replied with a smile. He also had a suggestion of his own. “Given things have settled down I’m thinking that it’s time to for Ella to meet her Granny Lightfeather. At least while we have a guest room” he added. David had seen the message play on his phone but he just shook his head. They’d been here before with the mobots, zombies and radiation and now the lunatics wanted a round two. “We’ll get back home but like last time we’ll win and still be on this island when those lunatics are crushed again” he replied. He had no doubt about what he was saying as Strife was no good to anybody; even normals. “I don’t know when she’ll get over here but when she does she’ll get to see everything we can show her” he added. Having seen groups of people stream past them it did look disordered and naturally people were fearful. Neither Peyton or himself were panicky so once things seemed a little quieter it was time to move. Having Ella in the stroller complicated things a little but they would still need to be watchful and move when they could. “If we find others we can help them as well” he replied.
