“I did read a paper on the subject not long after I started in ARI. Other people worldwide have worked on the idea but we’ll know far we can develop it given we get more leeway here” David suggested. Science did take a while to get the answers and if the pieces of the cloning puzzle has been put together the world would have known it was truly possible. Missing information was still the problem even now. “We have to make the best world for our daughter and the generation she belongs too. We are also in a position to do so and also improve the world” he suggested. Taking time to enjoy lunch and their beers was good for them as a couple with lofty aims for the future. Ella did seem increasingly interested in the outside and everything surrounded by it which was something that she was glad that her and David could give her. "Her life is already so different from mine in growing up but not in a bad way," she said. "I hope it is always better." David Lightfeather |

Ella would grow up in a completely different manner to her parents. That would be a fact and her curiosity would be the driving force. He could already kind of see what powers she could have later on and just not as an oddity. He knew what he meant as he’d grown up having to fully hide what he was. She could proudly show what she could do in the future. “It always will be better for Ella what we had to go through. Also give us ten years and we’ll make a better world for her” he suggested. Starting with how they’d raised her and the scientific progress they’d contribute too. By the time they’d finished lunch they got to look at the desert menu. She knew that she had been different since having Ella but the one thing that she truly hoped was that this had not brought a sense of worry to David because that was the last thing that she wanted. "Thanks for coming out today, or thanks for us coming out today. I know that I have always been shy and maybe even more so since having Ella but this is just my way of adjusting." David always knew Peyton was always a bit shy. So he'd taken more care of her and well as making her feel wanted. Now they were three that would continue. "If you need to adjust slowly that's how we'll do my love. As for dessert we could also try a little experiment. I'll give Ella some of my ice cream; just a little to see if she can handle it" he softly said. They had a few different types but he went for the chocolate ice cream with a tiny spoon for Ella. This was such a beautiful ride. "I do love how Ella is easily coming into her own. I know that sometimes it takes children a bit to warm up to being outside of the womb but even with her it seems almost good and that is always how I also know we are doing good. Perhaps it did take a child to open them up to and they’d both have a lot to figure out as they raised Ella. “I think she might go for the ice cream” he replied and as Ella looked round in her high chair David got her attention. She gave the matter thought seeing the spoon and instinct kicked it. A happy sound followed once she swallowed and found she liked it. “I think we have a winner” he replied with a smile of his own. She loved seeing the growth of Ella because it did her heart well. "She's so much more alert and aware than I was at her age which I am grateful for and the ice cream being a hit is great because I know that while we can not keep her off of sweets if we can keep what she likes and can tolerate it's already a bit of a win." David wondered if she went for ice cream now a frozen yogurt could also work. So having kept back some of his ice cream she finished it off very efficiently. “Frozen yogurt might work as well but we can introduce her to a balanced diet and see how she gets on” he replied. A baby as new as Ella was led to daily discoveries of what she was able to do and he wouldn’t have it any other way. “She’ll only get more curious as well as staying this way. When she gets crawling she’ll be into everything” he added and cleaned Ella up with a wipe. So with his daughter back in her daddies arms she was talkative in her own way. “We both did great and she’ll probably do better than the both of us when she grows up”. "I agree but I also made a decision with myself that no matter how advanced I think she might be I am not going to hover over her. I just want her to be able to be a child and enjoy her life and us get to enjoy her moments as well which it seems we are doing great at right now." Their daughter would have the space to grow up at her pace and he was very sure she would continue to be the way she was now. "I don't that will be a problem. She'll be this curious forever" he mused as Ella kept looking around and talking to the both of them. By now they'd had their beers and finished lunch and could see what else was on the ship. She reached over and gently grabbed Ella so that she could make sure that she had her head. "I think that is a good idea," she said. They were such a quaint little family that it was good and their life, so much better for having each other in it or so she thought anyhow. Christmas was coming fast and he couldn't deny that. "That will be the case" he mused as they went up to the top deck to see the sea round them. "We'll have to do something special for her so we'll have photos to show her later. As well as having friends over" he considered. Ella looked content in her mothers arms and started to point things out. They'd probally have a mall Santa and elves when November really got going and they could start getting things together like a small turkey and christmas pudding.
