chapter 20 : let them eat cake? (Madison)

She seemed better which made him feel better. "Yes I made them extra cute for the trip," he said as he slid over so that she could sit down where she pleased as he spoke. "I will stop by and let Mom and Dad see them before I leave," he said. "I figure who can resist these cute faces?" he said as Leila and Celeste sat now on either side of him but they did wave. "I need to taste wedding cake and I do not want to look weird doing it by myself."

He could be honest about that and that did feel good. "So how are you feeling now that you are able to take a little break from your busy work?" he asked as Leila leaned on him and semi attached herself to his arm. Taylor took the time to sit her carefully down and handed her a cup of mousse. "Here you go, let's see if you like raspberry mousse." Leila turned her head a little bit and blinked her eyes as she turned the cup up.

He handed Celeste an orange mousse as she did the same but so far so good. "Did you know they charge like twenty four dollars for that? Insane," he said. "Emilia and Abigail said no chocolate so now they just have to have fruit flavors. Kids have no idea what they are missing out on," he said. "However yes, you seem in better spirits too. This is good to know," he said as he found some napkins.

He nodded as he seen Celeste move her cup over and start to cling herself to his right side which caused him to slightly lift his arm as he talked as Celeste made her way up his arm and found herself wrapped around his neck and shoulder as she began to pull on his ear as he put his arm down. "It's good to relax. I have been visiting these waterfalls while you have been in New York, I even fell asleep in one but that was just because I was tired. Look I know that things got a bit crazy there for a while but you should know I got Cami and Mickie in that program and I talked to the women of the harem. I think I settled a lot of the issues if not most of them so everything should settle back down to a more normal island life routine for you as far as all of my drama goes. We have moved from drama to content."

Leila however made her way right back to his other arm and slightly huffed at him, to which Taylor looked at her. "Hey don't huff at me," he said as he leaned down so she could put her hands on his face to which she huffed again and then laughed as he moved her to his lap so that she was facing him. "What kind of cake do you want to taste first Madison?" he asked as he leaned down and pulled the diaper bag out from under the table. He pulled out a small purple peacock feather and handed it to her as he helped her work on her open and close hand coordination. "This is how we bond the best, I think it's the softness," he said as he ran the feather across Leila's face and she laughed as she slightly gripped the feather and leaned her head on Taylor. "It's odd but I like hearing their breathing. It comforts me in a weird way, I guess it's just a new fear when you have kids. It's not all roses like one would think but so far so good."

He needed them but more than that they needed him, he seen that more than ever now. "All my pieces are complete Madison, that is why I want to do this double wedding with you. There is no other reason, there is no other catch, there is just a magic about Christmas that I think we would both like to see and enjoy."

"That sounds fun and four. I did not know how long I would be able to keep these two occupied so I did not want to have them getting curious and bored as babies do and causing a scene." He was getting better but he was also dealing with magic, some he knew of and some he did not. He just knew time with his children and the bond it was creating seemed to be making everything better and calm and he did want that.

"With me and Cami?" He went quiet for a second. "Yeah Cami and I are on the same page now." At least for the most part. "It's very vital that Cami finishes Avery's program. It has opened up what seems to be a calmer side of her and it has allowed our marriage to input vital changes and with you and Carter there at the research facility I know she is in good hands."

"You're on vacation, no kid sitting while you are on vacation which means no kid helping. Besides they seem," he stopped taking the time to look at them. "They seem pretty content at the moment. I think as long as they can see and do different things they stay mostly well behaved. It's mostly TJ and Hayden who are giving me trouble, but I am being patient and letting them discover the world at their will and pace."

Good, Cami at least seemed to be appearing there which did give him a sense of relief. He would not say that he trusted her one hundred percent, only about ninety three. "Maybe dad just wanted to keep you close. It's weird but this whole parent thing is a task, a joyful one but a task none the less."

Leila still grabbed at the feather, which did give off a very small purple glow when she held it. She was still learning as she leaned forward and smooshed her forehead into Taylor's and held up her hands on his face as the purple glow covered her hands, which Taylor removed and went on with his conversation. "So first flavor is Vanilla Lemon Creme," he said.

Celeste took a second to crawl down and crawl around towards Madison and pull herself up as she looked at Madison and shook her head no and put her finger up to her mouth indicating the "shh" motion. Yeah these kids were surely dipped in the magic, but daddy dearest had no idea.

Celeste slightly smiled and took her crown off and handed it to Madison as she made her way back over towards Taylor and attached right beside him as the purple glow turned green and made it's way towards her. "Oh so as a like a gift I took the harem to Peru as I had stated," he said as he straightened Celeste up a bit and Leila too. "Everything's been great since then, the kids are even more willing to be around me which is amazing."

"I never get why people mix stuff with vanilla, whatever they choose to put with it always seems to overpower it," he said. "However I can see why people like the different colors," he admitted though he was never a color person. He much preferred for others to like the colors and he just squeeze in wherever it was that he needed to as he moved on.

"I am glad that Mom and Dad are no longer fighting us on this and just letting us enjoy our lives." It was a nice feeling and they were now so much more closer to being normal than he had ever imagined that it did feel good. "Okay this one is chocolate, not a big fan myself but some people like that chocolate on chocolate and I am trying to cover all options," he said as he watched Leila try to grab it. "Leila," he said. "No chocolate, your mother's orders not mine or you could have it but you'd probably be extremely hyper and we do not need that."

Leila was determined, a trait she showed early as she crossed her arms as Taylor went on. "It's not dry but it is a lot to take in, as far as Mom and Dad go, maybe we can move them there when they come on Christmas. I imagine we should ask them before hand," he said as the third cake was brought out. "This is my favorite," he said.

"Orange and Lemon creme. It seems like it would taste tart but it has just the right amount of flavor so you get sweet and tart and delicious, let me know what you think." Leila still looked at him as she sighed.

She waited until the chocolate cake was unoccupied and put her hands up and the cake slid towards her as her little hands glowed during the process. "Leila," Taylor said. "Stop using magic. Guess that's what I get for taking you in Cami's apartment, but it's cleaned out now so those effects are going to wear off." Yeah cause that was how magic worked, not really.

"Anyway Madison, please do not tell anyone about this. Leila, well all my children really when I had to go and get Cami's apartment clean for if she ever gets to come home were there and they are always with me by waterfalls and I have been to some amazing ones. The magic will wear off now and it's not like they are using it to hurt anyone." So he knew a little, he just had no idea how much was in him. "It is my belief that Cami was so magically infused when we were having sex and she was hanging around my children that it just rubbed off on them."

He was upset about that but he stopped himself from getting angry. "But she is in that program now and I just know once she finishes it, she will be done with this magic stuff. I need her to be done with it." He did not like magic. "I know it's my fault but I am better now, more mature, and once Cami finishes that program she will be better too. So this magic will be gone and we can just be happy and I can be done with all this guilt. It is honestly like the magic had taken it away from me so I know when she finishes Avery's program, we can just be happy AND i get to keep my kids and not have to raise them apart."
