Lucas knew the value of looking to the future as well. Alice knew about looking after the present as well and by doing her job this generation that was coming through would stand a chance. She didn't want a crime ridden island by any means and that could happen as it grew in population. She did pose a question while the babies were settled and asked softly "when our little darlings feel more settled and I feel slightly more rested why don't we take them out? Alice did want to follow up this idea and she did want to get out somewhere she could have a long walk or even a fly. "I'll be fine there. I just need a hat" Alice replied with a smile. He found himself still adjusting but he would never give up. Difficult situations and quick adjustments always found him and this was no different, well no he did think that this was different even in the thoughts of it being the ultimate difference since it was about the children now. Every choice which he was fine with. "I am proud for how we have adjusted. I think that we have a long road ahead of us when it comes to raising them but not one that will not change us for the better so I am glad for that and honestly no one else I would rather do it with too, even if it does scare the hell out of me. They would learn a lot and grow as people going through this just as they'd raise their children and they'd make the same journey. Looking back at her boyfriend it was time to relax again now the babies looked settled. So propping them up on pillows at opposite ends of the other sofa they could nod off to sleep again with little baby blankets while Alice and Lucas were on the other sofa. Alice booked this on her phone as Lucas spoke and she replied "that's us booked in for two days down the line at 2pm. We can get lunch before it starts and see what we can find. It will be a long road but a worthwhile journey. I love you baby". They were in this together for the long haul even if she wasn't as vocal about her feelings all the time. He did at least for the short time that he had been at this stage knew that he wanted this. He did not expect it to be easy at all. "Sounds great," he said and then she was what. He looked at her as he smiled. "Are you really telling me that right now," he said. He did not know but it made him feel all mushy which he quickly shook away. "Enough to get married eventually?" he asked. "Yeah" she replied with a smile. "Everything we've done so far has been a natural development. Then after we started apartment sharing we found out I was expecting". So getting married was the next logical step and they'd need to figure out which apartment they were going to keep as well before that stage happened. "I don't think we have talked about getting married yet but once Aurora can walk and be my flower girl we should. Ayden will be the page boy and it'll look so pretty" she added with a smile. "I do want them to be apart of it so that is good by me." It would also give him time to get Sam together since he was still working on it. He knew she had good intentions but he had to make sure that she stayed that way. To talk about the future was not a bad thing though as long as you knew it could and it might change but that what you liked and wanted could remain the same. What they were talking about now would lead to another decision they'd have to make down the line. "So now we're fairly well settled in our lives which apartment do we live in from now on? Yours or mine?" she posed. They didn't have to make that choice yet and could even keep doing what they were doing for a good while longer. Every decision lead to another one but he truthfully did not mind because it was how you got better and more comfortable in the end which he felt would help the both of them. "Whichever one you feel the most comfortable being in is fine with me. We can lease out the other one if we wanted." He was still adjusting to everything and he did slightly wonder if he was in a small state of shock and just did not realize it currently but either way he was waiting and listening.
