A different school year with some changes for Sophie. It would be her first full school year but at least she had friends to help her out. The ramps were round the school so she could push herself around but she'd miss the PE classes. She just had to find something else to do while others were playing volleyball, softball or later on football. She had found what she could do but not on school premises; the public pool would open shortly but till then she could use the gym in the fitness centre with supervision and a programme tailored to her needs. She also still had rehab to do but not so intensely. So back at the orphanage after the first day when she was re-aquainted with the elementary school mean girls and insulting them in three languages to prove nothing had changed between them; they still disliked her so no change there. Now she was home in the main room of the orphanage ready to head to the kitchen and make drinks for them all. Eric had another place to go to now he was fostered but he still was here after today's schooling. It had been too hot today but hopefully the days would get cooler soon enough. Eric Reed Jack P. J.

Eric did not mind school as he made his way around but the best part of the school day was surely once it was done as he made his way out to the orphanage. He knew that he could be at his new home but he liked to give the ladies that he was there with a break, especially since the one kind of scared him a little bit. "Hey Sophie, where's Jack is he coming too?" He actually liked Jack for the most part. Jack P. J.Sophie Chang

School was such a drain but he would never complain. He needed a good education in order to be able to get a good career and even though he did not know what exactly it was that he wanted that to be just yet he knew enough to know that he was going to stick it out. "Sup?" he asked as he spotted Sophie and Eric. "Are we doing well today?" he asked. He did not think so but he was going to wait before judging. Sophie ChangEric Reed

Jack arrived just as Eric mentioned him. Right now three of the gang was there and Sophie was frankly glad to get back here. She still had to do homework later on but could have a break and cool off. Something that should be easier for her given she ran at a higher body temperature. “Hi Eric. Hello Jack” she replied as she turned her chair on the spot to see them properly. “You never get much done on the first day. Except realise little has changed and find out the mean girls still hate you. Then they realise you still insult them in three languages” she added shrugging her shoulders. Which meant she was fine by her own standards. “There was still people who missed me being around and quick meetings with teachers to make sure I had all I needed”. Then she offered “I’m going to the kitchen. Do you guys want a cold drink?”. Eric ReedJack P. J.

"Those girls are stupid and probably jealous," he said as he shook his head. "People do not understand everyone's situation so they always find someone to try and take it out on but trust me by the end of this school year it's going to be all good." They were turning into the cool kids if he had anything to say about it. He did think how jarring that must be however. "Shouldn't we get you something to drink?" Jack P. J.Sophie Chang

"What would you like for us to do about it Sophie?" he asked. He did not need anything to drink he just wanted to make sure that she was okay because school could be rough and adults were not always necessarily able to be around. "We could spook them into leaving you alone." Sophie ChangEric Reed

Those mean girls would still be there when she got to junior high and she doubted things would be better by the end of the school year. Looking to Eric she replied “they are that and I doubt that will change”. Then Jack had a suggestion about dealing with them. They were the Ashford Orphans and if the gang functioned well nobody should be able to mess with them in school. “Giving them a shock now might just achieve that” she replied “and show you don’t mess with us. We just need to do it carefully”. But back to the original question that was posed by Eric. “I was already on the way to the kitchen. So might as well” she added. Eric ReedJack P. J.

"Okay," he said. "So are we making a plan to teach them a lesson but not go to far with it?" Perhaps them being around one another was bad but kids did things so maybe it was also just them being children. Jack P. J.Sophie Chang

"Are we?" he said as he took a second. "I do not want to hurt them but I do think that it would teach them a lesson and then they would leave Sophie alone which is always a win." Sophie ChangEric Reed

Both guys were on the same page as Sophie knew this issue needed nipped in the bud otherwise she'd still be dealing with the problem people in junior high. So she added her opinion. "If these mean girls don't get the message now I'll still be bumping heads with them in junior high. They're not likely to take me seriously if I say it on my own. However with help they'll realise they'll have us to deal with if they mess with any of us. Same goes if you guys have trouble in school; the gang will be there" she replied. Jack P. J.Eric Reed

Eric took a second because he knew that they did not need to be too bad but he did think that they needed to do something that those girls would never forget. "Maybe something with toilet paper of shaving cream," he seriously suggested. Jack P. J.Sophie Chang

He nodded. "We do not want them messing with you through high school," he said. He however would not hurt anyone if he did not have to, he did agree that scaring them might be the best way to go. "I do like the idea of toilet paper but where can we get enough?" Sophie ChangEric Reed

"How much are we going to need?" Sophie posed as she considered how they could pull this off. A source was easy as they could get some from the school and buy some themselves. This braintrust should be able to figure out the details. "We can always buy some and get the rest from school if we are sneaky about it. We just need to look at the skills we have to pull this off". The location was also important and she had an idea. "Elementary and Junior high share the same school building but not the area of the back of the school. So round there would also mean less witnesses". she posed. Being subtle took a lot more planning but they didn't need witnesses. The rumour mill would do what was needed. Jack P. J.Eric Reed

"I think that three of those big packs of toilet paper in bulk should be enough. We need enough where we can cover them or the house or whatever good and still be enough of a mess for them to clean up." Jack P. J.Sophie Chang

"I do like the way you think," he said. "It should also be noted that if they continue on we should move our punishments up a level also I think," he said. "Hopefully this one time will be enough however." Sophie ChangEric Reed
