Oddities are individuals born with extraordinary gifts. Because of this they are hated, feared and generally persecuted across the globe. In an attempt to give them a refuge the billionaire Theodore Ashford has created Ashford Isle. Presented as a Sanctuary for the special some believe their to be much darker motives behind his generosity.
Ashford Isle
A state of the art city powered completely by renewable energy, gorgeous modern building erected against the backdrop of a tropical paradise. It has all the luxuries modern technology can afford accompanied by the natural beauty and serenity only nature can provide. This city is open to all Oddities and their families, along with several hundred A.R.I. employees, it boast a modest population of just over 5,000 individuals consisting of a mix between both human and oddity. This wonderful utopia however is shaded in mystery both metaphorically and literally. The United Nations have dispatched several fleets of O.S.E. ships near the island, this gives the coastline a ominous view.

He nodded and then she was speaking and he nodded. "I am not hard to read, I am just learning myself too," he said. "Though I get what you mean," he said. He swallowed a bit hard and spoke. "The star took it away," he said as he went to go speak again when she grabbed his hand and he knew he had to handle this carefully too. One wrong move and he knew that this type of fragile might fall apart again so he was trying to just follow suit though he did hate that too as she turned around and was snaking his arm. He went blank as he heard her speaking. Something about his shoulders he was barely hearing as he blinked at her and then tried to speak but he was at a lost for words so he just stared at her until he remembered how to speak. "..." Still nothing but just silence. He took a seat under the tree and put his head back against the bark of the tree. Enduring still was killing him but he had promised and he needed to stick to it. "I learn something new about you every time that we are together but that is because I did not know you and now that I am having to learn you as well, I still love you." New was good though. "So all in all you are saying that I am awesome?" she asked as she slid under the tree. "You do realize that we are supposed to be moving to a different spot and not be under this tree right?" she asked as she laughed. "It is a nice tree though," she said. It had shade on one side and sun on the other but not enough to burn you. "To love something that you do not know is taking one hell of a leap of faith Quinzell," she said. "I do understand it however," it was strange the things that you still felt about people through everything. "You are awesome," he said. "It is indeed," he said as he went on. "Yes I am aware but that is okay," he said as she asked if she was the reason. Something else he had to handle carefully. "When you get jealous yes BUT there are reasons and times where my actions caused you to rightfully so be jealous so it is like a collective effort." "Oh," she said as she went quiet. She started fiddling with her own hands and fingers as she thought. "Guess that's why I don't wear my ring?" Wow. That made her sad as it was clearly seen on her face. "I'm sorry I don't mean to make you cry. I don't," she was losing hope that they belonged together though she still felt something strong towards him. "What if we are not meant to be?" she asked. He seemed so confident when he spoke about once she was done here that they would and could be. "How are you so sure we belong together because from the sounds of it we do not. I'm just another woman in your collection of moms it seems." She slowly got up. "I think I need to go back now please." "If there is something about us being together that makes me that jealous and I make no promises that it will not happen again, I think that means I'm just another woman that you just have babies with." He said nothing as he listened to her because her concerns were valid and he actually understood that too which was how he knew he had matured some and so he spoke. "Well I do think we are meant to be but just because I choose you does not mean you choose me." Relax the story ends happily this is just far from the end. He stood up and he did want to cry because she was right and in her being right and being valid it only meant he had to wait. He had to occupy himself and be an equal being to all the mothers of his children, all the while knowing in the back of his head that this very while might be the last time he had the love of his life to himself completely. It was not a good feeling. "Cami anything I do with you is not a waste so please do not apologize for that. We are just enduring who we are becoming." It had to be a team effort going forward. They had to learn to be a team, communicate like a team, and take in the feelings and consequences of both of their actions as a team. "Hey, can we go back in a few minutes? Healing hurt and it hurt even more when you were enduring things you knew and bracing for those that you did not. "Yeah Quinzell," she said as she went and stood by him. "What do you like the most about it? The sunset I mean?" She leaned over and hugged him and closed her eyes. She could feel his heart. "Oh my god, your heart is in sync with mine," she said. That was a little weird but cool. "Are we soul mates?" she had that strange flicker in her eye as she asked. "Quinzell you did not tell me that we were soul mates," she said. "You know that no matter what happens that means we will always find our way back right?" Perhaps the emotional overload was a good thing in the end. She turned to him and put her hands on his face. "I just like beautiful things," he said honestly and then she was on a speak of soul mates. He loved when she talked like that but then she was on the move and her hands were on his face and she was pulling him down to her. Speechless, again. "..." He had to use his words again which meant that he had to think more. "W..W.." All gone, his functions to think, his functions to endure all gone. The English Language? What was that? He had no idea for the next few seconds. "Cami, we're going to miss the sunset," he finally said as he tried to pull his forehead away from hers but her grip was soft, warm. He looked at her and he nodded. "Okay," he said. He slowly took a breath in and exhaled as he stayed quiet which was hard because he liked to talk an entire lot. He had a lot of thoughts and a lot of ways that he thought that his thoughts could come into being actions but rarely did he stand in such quiet. It did scare him just a little bit as he took a second to pull her closer. She still smelled so lovely even if she was a little crazier than most. "Listen with me," he said quietly. It was like he could hear a song, it was like everything had paused at least for him as the world around them was still going on. He thought that was what a safe space did for a person.
