Open - getting settled and relaxed

Amber had followed up a suggestion from Madison made nearly a year ago. “Why not come and see the island?” was the question her old friend and nearly sister posed and now she was doing this.

The cargo / passenger ship left from Miami so that meant a flight from New York. A few days on a ship was a break in itself and once going through records she found herself in a hotel room; quite a fancy once too. She figured her stay would be two weeks and she was between nanny jobs right now. There was something she could do as Madison had told her about the local LGBTQ plus club called Maverick’s. That would be for later once she let the people who knew her know. At least she hoped Madison and Taylor hadn’t changed their email addresses. 

This was turning into a relaxing afternoon once she sent her messages and the next destination was the hotel restaurant and bar. So in a summery dress and wedge sandals she headed there to see what was in the menu.
