VIRUS ALERT!!! or Who Wants To Be a Hero?

David was also on a day off and was at the mall looking for a calligraphy set for Peyton just like he'd promised when all the screens went mad. The Strife attack on the ARI labs had perhaps made the unexpected easier for him to deal with given he'd not only saved a boys life that day but gotten to the end of it with a lot of help from his friends and others.

So as panic reigned he found a quiet corner to think this through; he wouldn't get her present today but he did take in the details from the speech Dr Mobius made. It sounded like they weren't going after civilians but what could happen to anybody who did surrender? He didn't have that information and he wasn't sure he'd like the answer if it turned out to be bad.

As the mall emptied he felt ready to act. He had some priorities and Peyton was one of them. Getting back to ARI would be nice as they might be able to do something; so would be linking up with somebody with means to fight back.

By about 11am he'd worked his way by taking cover and being careful out of the mall and near the invasion beachhead. Robots (no a Mobot as that was what they'd been called) were working in scattered groups and he was hearing guns being fired from deeper in. He didn't know anything about guns as it wasn't part of his culture. If the UK ever had a zombie rise the best you'd have was a cricket bat or a golf club to wield. He was however an oddity and he did have to bear in mind that he wouldn't have much time in his ultimate form. So would have to use that time carefully.

He did however see vans driving round and stayed out of the way just in case. Slightly later on he ran into what had been a battle. Dead people who'd been messed up in various ways except for one. The woman was going to die and he couldn't help that. She did seem to have something to say before she expired and he heard "For a pure future" as he looked at her and she looked back at him. "It won't happen in your lifetime and you don't have long. A public service announcement from one oddity to an idiot whose dying for a nothing cause" he replied as she kept bleeding out and gave her a hard look. Perhaps karma did work after all.

He'd just left her when a Mobot spotted him. It gave a call to surrender but David got a bit closer. He had to as it looked like he would raise his arms but he had other ideas. His werewolf transformation was quick as he gained more height and mass and his face changed. Leaping from his standing start he floored the robot and twisted its right leg out of shape due to increased strength. It wouldn't be walking soon even if it did get up.

He jumped onto the roof of a car, swung onto a lamp post and then onto a low roof. It was hard to know where was safe right now but he could count on his ability. Overhead he seen a flying figure going away from him; one with wings and female judging by the very brief look he got.

She always knew that there was a chance that they might have to fight and defend but even the mobots were a little much for her. It also hurt when her ribbons were out but so far it seemed like Madison was holding her own which she was glad of. "Alright," she said as she picked up a few of her ribbons and tried to lasso one of the mobots, barely grabbing a hold of it.

"Alright if you take a second and swing towards the left i can throw it to you and we might be able to at least smash this one mobot if not perhaps just take it down a good bit."

Madison Nottingham-Quinzell

Madison heard the idea that Mallory had and nodded. If this worked they might be able to take out one at time as one robot would block the others or at least make then retreat. Her wooden bat was nearly in reach once the closest got lassoed by Mallory.

Then came the throw as she rolled to get her bat and she shouted towards their enemy "batter up". She moved swiftly swinging the bat so it passed under a trailing punching arm. A batter could generate quite a bit of force and speed as even armour might not stop it. She felt the impact but kept moving swinging for its neck joint. Again the impact slammed home and so far the other robots couldn't get back at them. This was a serious test of their programming as it was a completely random attack pattern.

Mallory Q. Nottingham

Francis arrived onto the scene and he did not like what he seen. Some people had seemed to rush past him so he still was not sure exactly what was going on as he seen a man jumping on the roof of a car and followed him.

Francis could hear the thoughts of others around him too which he tried to block out, "Got any idea which way we should attempt to head?" he asked him.

David Lightfeather

She was enjoying her workout mix as her husband was berating someone once again on the phone. She did love that the most about him as she smiled giving it thought and then it stopped and she heard that god awful weird al and noticed that something else was going on. "NO!" she screamed as she tried to find the nearest sturdy thing to hold onto as she continued to yell. She was too young and pretty to die.

Matthew Quence

Looking down from the low roof he was now standing on David did look like something out of a Hollywood monster movie with red hair all over his hands, face and feet but muscled like a weight lifter. When he replied he certainly sounded out of place as he said "I was hoping to get to ARI; as well as my colleagues being there they might be able to do something or figure this out".

They might stand a better chance together as he reached down an arm which he morphed to be longer. "Grab on. You'll be safer on a roof".

"Sir I lost the signal too the strife council ummm.....sir they are all gone everything in Afghanistan wiped out "

Matthew pulls out a gun and shoots the poor man who informed him of this dead right between the eyes his wife starts to scream

He smiles at the drs ai or the dr he didn't really care " hello Dr @mobius I have to say you have done some great work but I hate to say you have made your last mistake attacking me my men will hunt you down I would start running because those that attack all ways end up face down dead ! "

He hears his wife still screaming "some one go and find her and bring her to me we are leaving !" He yells at the two big men in the room with him
