Electromagnetic Battery
. Johnny Hooker passively absorbs electromagnetic radiation and uses it to empower his body. While he can absorb just about any form of light, he finds that direct sunlight gives him the most "juice". Regular time spent absorbing radiation gives him enough strength to lift a car, and one time a firetruck, over his head; enough speed to outrun a bullet train; superhuman durability bordering on invulnerability (he's never been on the receiving end of a tank shell, but he's never broken a bone and hasn't had anything break his skin since he was 12); and the ability to project any form of electromagnetic radiation from his skin, ranging from radio waves to the color red to gamma rays. He can also perceive just about any form of electromagnetic radiation, though how he perceives it varies from wavelength to wavelength. He "feels" and "hears" radio waves and sees ultraviolet colors, for example. Oh, and he can jump really, REALLY high.

Under the right conditions, he can shapeshift, instantly repair/heal from damage to his body, travel quickly through darkness, disappear and re-appear from dark spots, store people and objects in his body and remove them (more than he should for his body size), temporarily replace the shadows of people and objects, and interfere with electronics and machinery.

while he can hear the thoughts of others he can not signal in on one person's thoughts unless he has known them for a while so it's like a constant train of thoughts in his head always. it's also why he stays quiet and tends to look as if he is brooding.
