Madison looked like she was thinking this over and time was probally more of a problem then anything else. Working six days a week didn't leave much time for side projects as well as keeping a girlfriend happy. "I suppose I could always talk to Faye. I know we need law and order. Even Wild West towns had a sheriff and deputies along with a few shotguns behind the front desk. And this is quite a big town. The problem is time. I should be able to help with the beginnings of a small police force if you just need ideas and an outsiders input; but I also have to keep a girlfriend happy. If I can sort something out with Faye then you might have a starting point as she already knows about law as she's practised it. I can bring experience about other things to the table but having to coach sport full time makes more of an input much harder". She spoke honestly so unless she ending up changing jobs over this she couldn't take on extra work. Cami Q.- Carter |

She nodded as she listened. "Yeah you make good points," she said as she finally grabbed her bike though she did see a yellow one that she sort of liked too. That oddly reminded her that she needed to get back to dumpster diving. It was a dirty habit but one that she did like. "Well how about one day you and I do lunch when you are free?" she asked. "There are no strings attached or anything like that I just need to get out and make more friends because I work too much and I think we could be good friends." She was nothing as if honest. Already having a good feeling about Cami it made sense for Madison to see how deep a friendship could get. So listening to what Cami had to say she nodded. "I can do lunch if I've an evening shift. The day dosen't really matter" she suggested adding "if we swap mobile numbers we can figure out when we can do lunch". It would also make it easier to contact Cami if anything else came up given she has suggested meeting Faye. "We both work too much" she added with a smile. "And perhaps we will". Cami Q.- Carter |

The phone was handed to her so she did just that adding herself to Cami's contacts. She'd also get her number in due course but did the same on her own phone anyway. So with numbers traded she smiled back at Cami. "That's it done. I'll let you know how the bike works out when I get on it proiperly" she replied. Then the storekeeper came back with lights and reflectors to show her and mentioned cycling helmets. Not legally required here but a good idea all the same. Cami Q.- Carter |

"Thanks," she said. She knew that sometimes she could be a lot but a lot of that she attributed to not getting out at all sometimes. "I appreciate that, I think that some part of me likes to take surveys so I am always asking questions which by the way once you eat some food from around the island if you could just text me what you did and did not like I can make some menu changes as well too. "Well I do have a girlfriend now so I intend to stay a lot longer" Madison replied. If all worked out she'd be a resident but the future was an uncertain thing. Then came a request she found slightly unusual. "So who do you end up taking the surveys and ask the questions for?" she also posed. She'd no problem sending Cami the information at least some of the time; when she remembered to do it. She was more curious how this was somebodies job and it sounded that way when she spoke. "Aw relationships are amazing. I look forward to one day maybe seeing the two of you out and such so that will be good," she said. "Oh my boss. I work for Avery Ashford," she said. It was not that she did not mind people knowing it but a lot of people did give her slack for it so most of the time she kept it to herself. "We did not always get along at first but it works out now and I find that good to be honest. However one day I do plan to strike out on my own business wise just not sure doing what yet." Madison had one final thing to ask the shopkeeper about her bike. The time she could pick it up the next day. A couple of quick questions confirmed this would be after lunch. So she'd be able to walk here during her break and pick up the completed bike then. "Tomorrow lunchtime I'm told" she cheerfully replied. "I'd not much planned apart from getting on a bike for today" Madison mused back. Then looked back at Cami with a smile. "I'll join you if you still want me tagging along" she added. Which was what she getting from Cami. "We've still got to do some things the old fashion way round here" she further added. Looking back at Cami as she left the shop and retrieving her hired bike Madison felt the heat all over again. She could deal with a hot summer back home but the flip side was a bitter winter with snowdrifts. She figured by the time she got home again she'd have forgotten what a winter felt like. "I certainly didn't fit in during high school. A place where the jocks and cheerleaders deserved each other and standing out usually got you the wrong sort of attention. That was before I was outed and still speaking against oddity discrimination. Going to college was a much better experience. I actually found a much easier time in the tennis and gymnastics clubs" she cheerfully replied. "I miss apple strudel. Also proper hotdogs" she added knowing how hard food vendors tried here.
