There was time to start on an improved stance before time ran out. Madison showed Dana an ideal way of standing and there was room for variation from that. Everybodies stance was slightly different from the ideal but if it worked for them all was good. So parting with a night of clubbing planned and a smile on Madison's face time rolled onto 9pm. She'd given Dana directions and the warm sunny day had given way to a slightly cooler night. A light coat or jacket might be an idea for later once the club closed up. Madison chose a short blue dress that was a bustier type with a strappy purse and little flat black shoes she looked ready. She'd take a chance on it getting colder later on and she also wore a gold chain round her neck and multiple different coloured bangles on both wrists. The queue to get in wasn't so bad at this time. You'd be waiting quite a while in the cool of the evening if you left it much longer and if you listened carefully the DJ was starting to warm up the early birds. It wasn't a big club but it had a bar, a dance floor and a pool room. A place to shoot some pool and get away to relax if you needed it. All the basics you needed. Dana Winchester |

"Madison!" Dana called out as she got out of the Uber near Mavericks' and began walking towards the club. She could see the line outside the club and hoped Madison was outside waiting. Dressed in a light floral skirt and blouse w/a denim jacket and low-heeled boots, she looked ready to enjoy a night out on the town, a rare treat for her but something she hoped to change as time went on. Not seeing her outside, Dana made it to the queue, which was surprisingly not as long as she'd feared and continued to look around for Madison. Madison Quinzell |

Taxi's were pulling up now and again and Madison finally spotted the tall English woman joining the queue and calling her name. "Looking good girl" she cheerfully replied as she slipped in beside her. It wasn't just women in the queue and this alone was a good sample of this community. People were being fabulous and sparkly and ready to party. She could hear a little of the DJ's wares already and suggested "lets get some drinks first and then see where it leads us". "Alright," Dana said as they headed inside, the beat of the music beginning to pound in the air. She hadn't been in a crowd this big in a long, long time; she should've turned and ran. She didn't.Instead, she took in the crowds for a moment or two before joining Madison at the bar; in-between checking out the crowds, she also took a few seconds to check out Madison. As Madison was a regular she knew how to get the staffs attention in a nice way and how to let them feel valued. She even knew some of their names by now. She knew this kind of work well. Hearing what Dana had to say made her grin and she was still able to hear her for now. "Thank's Dana. Just a little something I brought from New York". And little it was as it was a mini-dress and all trouble. "What do you want for your first drink?" she called to Dana knowing she'd want a short beer to start with. The same things might still apply here as in New York clubs so you looked after your drink and made sure your friends got an uber home afterwards. She was feeling the energy of the music already as people expressed themselves both human and oddity. At least the isle gave them a chance to live freely; just like in the past Madison wouldn't have been free to express her sexuality. Madison smiled at the compliment and left briefly. It didn't take long to get two short beers and to hand Dana hers. She suspected Dana was checking her out along with others as she knew that look. At least there was choice for Dana in an environment like this. This was still the warming up part of the night out as the DJ hadn't put the best songs on but dancing couples male and female were on the dance floor. She was visible in the booth just letting the pot simmer for now until she let loose later with the floor fillers and banging tracks later on. "There you go Dana. Just soak all this up for now but I found this place a bit scary the first time I was here. I was told by a student friend about it and she stayed with me. So I will do likewise until you feel ready to dive in on your own" she mused. And this was a massive pool of fun, experiences and temptations in which you still had to be careful. Dana Winchester |

Besides' questions over being an Oddity, she had also struggled with questions over her sexuality; guys just didn't seem to do it for her. Why, she didn't know...but she could definitely feel the energy between her and Madison and it gave her a bit of comfort; she was safe to be herself here. Madison Quinzell

Today clearly hadn't been just about tennis lessons. Madison could see Dana taking a lot in as they both drank their beers. The other lesson was something Dana would have to figure out mainly by herself but Madison could throw some pointers and encouragement in to help out. "Somebody you like?" Madison posed helpfully. She recognised that look having been in Dana's position before and not feeling comfortable then. It felt different this time as Dana seemed more relaxed. She didn't realise it was herself who was the cause. They still had plenty of time to get settled before the beers and the music kicked in and now the warm up set was moving up a gear. Sometimes a random song kicked in that didn't fit but who cared? It sent a message to everyone. " Are you drunk enough?

Then the next song played and she added, "Sounds like someone knew we were going to be here tonight, Madison," pointing out to the dance floor. Finishing her beer, she began walking out towards the dance floor, a pleasant dance in her step, nodding at Madison as if to invite her out there with her... Dial up my number now

Madison left her drink which didn't have much left in it and gracefully moved beside Dana as they walked onto the dance floor. She'd get a new beer once they stopped and got back to the table. Even without music Madison walked in a way that got her noticed. She was also feeling the beat to Goldfrapp. Hearing that Dana had a few people in mind already made her smile. This dance felt like helping her into the shallow end and the beat absorbed the smaller Madison. Dana Winchester |

The others round them were in their own little worlds just as lost in the beat as they were about to be. It wasn't just couples but some larger groups were present too. Then Madison felt words vanish too as it was just about the music and them. Inviting Dana was such a good idea after all. Then the song ran out and seamlessly changed. Time still passed but that was the only way of marking it. As long as her new friend stayed with her all would be well in this new world. Dana Winchester |

In-between songs Dana reached out towards Madison, her fingers just so tantalizingly close. Time seemed to stand still for her and Dana smiled, probably the biggest smile she'd had in her time on the Island up to now. It wouldn't take much to make contact now as Madison was gradually getting closer as the songs played on. Dana looked really happy and that was obvious to anyone; even Madison herself. Then Madison felt the contact on her arm and elsewhere. Was something special going to happen? But she didn't pull away as touching was part of the experience.
