Even paradise could become a prison if one had enough time to take notice of the walls
welcome to Dire Tactics
Oddities are individuals born with extraordinary gifts. Because of this they are hated, feared and generally persecuted across the globe. In an attempt to give them a refuge the billionaire Theodore Ashford has created Ashford Isle. Presented as a Sanctuary for the special some believe their to be much darker motives behind his generosity.
Ashford Isle
A state of the art city powered completely by renewable energy, gorgeous modern building erected against the backdrop of a tropical paradise. It has all the luxuries modern technology can afford accompanied by the natural beauty and serenity only nature can provide. This city is open to all Oddities and their families, along with several hundred A.R.I. employees, it boast a modest population of just over 5,000 individuals consisting of a mix between both human and oddity. This wonderful utopia however is shaded in mystery both metaphorically and literally. The United Nations have dispatched several fleets of O.S.E. ships near the island, this gives the coastline a ominous view.

Live from the west wing rose garden:
President pace: today we mark another earth day to celebrate this day I am signing a excepetive order ordering the closer of are nuclear power plants I have been given this power by the clean air act of 2017 which the president before me used this act to open these plants I am using the clean air and water act of 2018 to order every office of this government to come together and send to my desk the clean earth act of 2023 so congress can act on this plan so are children can have a better earth to call there home "
The president took no questions but opposition to this came quickly
Speaker trump on Twitter: congress wont be acting on this clean earth plan we are too busy cleaning up this presidents power grab
Senator Parker released statement: I was against the four acts that gives the President this power each year former president quence put forward these acts to give the President more and more power we need to look at all these acts before its too late !
Senator quence: the acts that the president is using where part of a much bigger green new deal that my team and I came up with to cut through a lot of red tape the plants where to give us time to come up with a better energy policy I fear this presidents fear of polls and me is going to cost us
Coming next week a five part look at speaker trumps first 100 days as speaker ending with a one on one interview with the speaker on his thoughts on the state of the country at this point and maybe his future plans with 2024 on its way

Breaking news
the united kingdome is now reporting to the world press that all Strife fighters have been bushed out of Ierland thanks to military aid from the united states a dear friend of the people of the united kingdome the UK's Prime minister made this speech out side the Prime ministers resadances:
Prime minister: I am happy to report to the public that we have not just pushed Strife out of are country we have also killed the founder and leader of that Strife cell thanks to the help from the United states CIA now my government will start the hard work of rebuilding the end of this war on terror is in sight I can see it
The united states department of defences backed this news and stated that us troops would be pulling out of this combat zone in a few months now that strife had been crushed
the white house went to the press to claim that President Pace is happy that the end of a war on terror that was expand to new highs under the last President is almost over and we can work on re building the world and here at home
Former President Quence statement to the Press: the former President would like to remind the public that the war on terror was started by the killing of the President before him which happend right in front of him on the day he took office that is why we promised the public that we would never forget what we had lost this move by the President is forgetting and wanting us to tern are backs on what we started we need not pull out when the missions are not done who does that ? us I see
the Former President plans to head to the border to see what damage the President has done
Speaker of the house Trump says house is finely ready to put forword there form of healthcare and repeal the disaster of Quence care the speaker said this after a heated battal with the white house on spending cuts and spending caps in the us spending after some heated back and forth from the house and the white house a deal was made where the house would get some of there cuts and same with caps while the white house got more spending for the us military heres the speaker
Speaker: it has not been easy but I knew it wouldn't be but I have fun when things are not easy I was also elected speaker by the house because im a outsider and the same old same old is not doing it any more we are now the first house to not just say we will cut spending we are cutting a lot of spending more thin President Pace wanted we didn't get as many caps as some was wanting but we got promises for more cuts and more caps next time wins for the people thats what Im here for

two more nuclear plants are shut down blackouts start to pop up since many small towns had switched over to nuclear power and President Pace didn't plan on anything to switch too all this while the White house says a new energy plan is coming
at this time no upcoming events for President Pace he was going to speak at the UN next week but the White house says he is quite tired form the long leadership summit he went to a few months ago so the President will be spending the us embassator to the un a note to be read into the record of the meeting he also will be addressing the upcoming nato meeting from camp David where he is spending his summer vacation this has brought up a lot of questions on the Presidents health

Breaking news:
President Pace takes a fall at G 20 opening meetings at the leaders plans
this years G 20 started with some excitement but not the excitement world leaders had thought when President Pace arrived on air forces one he did the whole President wave and tried to run down the stairs and trips and face first hits the ground secret services rushed to the President and got him out of sight of the Press and leaders
we do have video of the President acting confused being asked questions to see if he was alright the President of the united states missed the opening dinner because he was rushed to a hospital where he got treatment for a split lep and some scraches on his forhead
day one of meeting: all eyes where on President Pace as he showed for the days meeting stiched up and a nick braces he looked uncomfertabel at times but made it through the first days talks
day two: President Pace tried to take his tern to speak but had to hand off the speech to the secetary of defences who had been brought in the night before the Presidents staff makes it very clear that the President is fine he just got a little lightheaded
day three: President Pace sent a writen statement to the world leaders and didn't come at all for this days talks
day four: the President was with world leaders on the reading of the deals the leaders agreed too but he took no questions and didn't read what the united states get out of these deals he skips the closing dinner and starts to head back to the united states
Day five we get the deals that was agreed on:
each world leader signs a statement condeming Russias invasion of ukraine ( Russias President was not invited to this years meeting )
Each world leader invites Irans leader to come to next years meeting to try and cool off pressures with Iran and world powers they wont be setting members of the group but this is sending more messages that President Pace might be leaning too what President Quence was trying to do near the end of his term in offices
Former President Quence cought with classifide Documents:
President Quence has been criss crossing the country putting out his message for a 2nd term three years after he left office polls shows he is like a rocket ship that can't be stopped but that wont stop the Pace administration from trying
the investigation into the former Presidents taxts is still on going now we are being told that boxs of Documents have been found on propertys owned by the former President all over the country the former President and his team have slammed these clames and has stated that they are his documents that he had been told he could keep them and a lot of private things where in them between him and world leaders
count down clock on Government shutdown ticking down: Speaker Trump left a meeting with President Pace this afternoon saying he was still hopefull for a deal on keeping the Government open after this month is over the Speaker wants the President to keep his word when he stated last year to keep the Government from shuttindown that he would look at Government spending cuts in till they got the Governments spending under controle the white house has stated the President has come to the tabel with a lot of spending cuts that will hurt him in next years elections but the Speaker wants the whole cake not just the slices he is being offered
If the Government and the white house can't come to an agreement on a spending plan for the rest of this year the Government will be shutdown and many Americans can be hurt each day the Government is shutdown
ten more power plants where ternd off and closed this month power outages are being reported in New york and calliforna two states thate had went all nuclear power outages are being reported in other states that had been in diffrent stages of going nuclear
there has been no activty from Strife sinces the joint opperation with the United states and her allies started in the summer there are now reports that says almost all of the founding leaders of Strife have been killed all but one of the founders has been found but the allies are sure its only amatter of time former President Quence warns that if the united states and this joint nation opperation don't have a good rebuilding plan and safeguards in place thin a groupe even worst will take there place which what happend with the rise with strife
OOC: before anyone screams o no not real life I will have this done real fast I wont do a shutdown like I did when Quence was in office I want this to be fun for everyone next week the UN week meeting each day will be documented like years pasts be looking for that I will try to keep up with my posts as I get back into things

President 46 Gorgery Pace
President Pace has been in offices for three years next year he runs for re election but what has he done in these past three years ? heres his time in office up to this point in time:
The first 100 days of the Presidency of Gorgery Pace began during the inauguration of Gorgery Pace with the conversion of Whitehouse.gov from the Quencey Administration version to the Pace Administration version at 12:00 pm on January 20, 2021. This was the fourth presidential online portal transition and the second to involve social media accounts such as Twitter.
Pace campaigned on the promise he would roll back President Quence's hard-line stance on immigration. Shortly after taking office, he ended construction on the southern border projects. Pace had pledged to raise the Quence-era immigration cap from 15,000 people a year to 125,000, but backtracked on this promise shortly after becoming President, citing humanitarian concerns.
His administration worked to protect hundreds of thousands of immigrants, mainly from Venezuela and Myanmar, from deportation. Lack of significant action has drawn criticism, especially since Pace has failed to deliver on many of his immigration-related promises.
Following the election, President-Elect Biden pledged to rejoin the agreement, which he did on his first day in office. The United States formally rejoined the agreement on February 19, 2021.[49]
In a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guteres on January 20, 2021, President Pace stated that the United States would resume funding the WHO.
the Pace administration has made competing with China a top priority. The United States has sanctioned Chinese officials over human rights abuses and kept in place the tariffs introduced during the Quence administration. Pace has emphasized the importance of rebuilding ties with allies to counter Chinese growth.
but he also pulled the new trade alinces that President Quence had put forword to Congress on his way out forcing many us companies that had been setting up to use this new trade alinces to go back to China back markets
By the time Pace took office, the US military budget was at an all-time high—the Quence administration had requested a budget of over $740 billion for FY 2020.
Pace has promised to repair relationships with allies, and stated that the United States was "fully committed" to the NATO alliance. During his address to the Munich Security Conference, he said that the United States would "earn back [its] position of trusted leadership."
June 17, Pace signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, which officially declared Juneteenth a federal holiday. Juneteenth is the first new federal holiday since 1986. In July 2021,
Pace entered office nine months into a recovery from the Unite states banks recession and his first year in office was characterized by robust growth in real GDP, employment, wages and stock market returns, amid significantly elevated inflation. Real GDP grew 5.9 percent, the fastest rate in 37 years.
Amid record job creation, the unemployment rate fell at the fastest pace on record during the year. By the end of 2021, inflation reached a nearly 40-year high of 7.1 percent, which was partially offset by the highest nominal wage and salary growth in at least 20 years. In his third month in office,
President Pace signed an executive order to increase the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15 per hour, an increase of nearly 37 percent. The order went into effect for 390,000 workers in January 2022.
In early 2022, President Pace made efforts to change his public image after entering the year with low approval ratings due to inflation and high gas prices, which continued to fall to approximately 40 percent in aggregated polls by February.
He began the year by endorsing a change to the Senate filibuster to allow for the passing of the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Act, on both of which the Senate had failed to invoke cloture.
The rules change failed when two Democratic senators, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, joined Senate Republicans in opposing it.
After 5.9 percent growth in 2021, real GDP growth cooled dramatically in Pace's second year, to 2.1 percent, after slightly negative growth in the first half spurred recession concerns.
Job creation and consumer spending remained strong through the year, as the unemployment rate fell to match a 53-year low of 3.5 percent in December. Inflation peaked at 8.9 percent in June but began easing in the second half of the year, to 6.5 percent in December. Stocks had their worst performance since 2008.
in 2022 former President Quence put out that he would no longer be backing President Paces Administration and was giving up his advicesment role he had been enjoying up to that point that day the white house said the former Presidents white house pass was no longer active rumers of the former President heading back to the senate started to around the halls of congress
Over the course of five days in March 2023, three small- to mid-size U.S. banks failed, triggering a sharp decline in global bank stock prices and swift response by regulators to prevent potential global contagion. After Silicon Valley Bank collapsed, the first to do so, President Pace expressed opposition to a bailout by taxpayers.
He claimed that the partial rollback of Dodd-Frank regulations contributed to the bank's failure. At the beginning of the 118th Congress, Pace and congressional Republicans engaged in a standoff that raised the risk that the United States would default on its debt. former President Quence now a member of the senate once more changed his party to Republican giving the GOP a small majority in the senate to hold both chambers sinces President Garfield was President
President Pace and House Speaker Danold trump struck a deal to raise the debt limit, the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023. Pace signed it on June 3, averting a default.
the deal was generally seen as favorable to Presidnt Pace but speaker Trump made it clear they got a lot of what they wanted too and promises to do more in the next spending plan
By the end of 2021, forty of pace's appointed judges to the federal judiciary had been confirmed, more than any president in their first year in office since Ronald Reagan.
Pace has prioritized diversity in his judicial appointments more than any president in U.S. history, with the majority of appointments being women and people of color. Most of his appointments have been in blue states, making a limited impact since the courts in these states already traditionally lean liberal.
In January 2022, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, a moderate liberal nominated by Bill Clinton,, announced his intention to retire from the Supreme Court.
During his 2020 campaign, Pace vowed to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court if a vacancy occurred, a promise he reiterated after the announcement of Breyer's retirement. On February 25, President Pace nominated federal judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 7 and sworn in on June 30.
As part of pace's Build Back Better agenda, in late March 2021, he proposed the American Jobs Plan, a $2 trillion package addressing issues including transport infrastructure, utilities infrastructure, broadband infrastructure, housing, schools, manufacturing, research and workforce developmen
After months of negotiations among Pace and lawmakers, in August 2021 the Senate passed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill called the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, while the House, also in a bipartisan manner, approved that bill in early November 2021, covering infrastructure related to transport, utilities, and broadband.President Pace signed the bill into law in mid-November 2021.
The other core part of the Build Back Better agenda was the Build Back Better Act, a $3.5 trillion social spending bill that expands the social safety net and includes major provisions on climate change.
The bill did not have Republican support, so Democrats attempted to pass it on a party-line vote through budget reconciliation, but struggled to win the support of Senator Joe Manchin, even as the price was lowered to $2.2 trillion. After Manchin rejected the bill, the Build Back Better Act's size was reduced and comprehensively reworked into the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, covering deficit reduction, climate change, healthcare, and tax reform.
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 was introduced by Senators Chuck Schumer and Joe Manchin. The package aimed to raise $739 billion and authorize $370 billion in spending on energy and climate change, $300 billion in deficit reduction, three years of Affordable Care Act subsidies, prescription drug reform to lower prices, and tax reform.
this was bigger thin the former Presidents clean air acts put together and thats saying a lot sinces all those acts are very pricey According to an analysis by the Rhodium Group, the bill will lower US greenhouse gas emissions between 31 percent and 44 percent below 2005 levels by 2030. the Former President now Senate now says this is one big lie
On August 7, 2022, the Senate passed the bill (as amended) on a 51–50 vote, with all Democrats voting in favor, all Republicans opposed, and Vice President Kamala Harris breaking the tie. The bill was passed by the House on August 12 and was signed by President Pace on August 16.
Before and during the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), Pace promoted an agreement that the U.S. and the European Union cut methane emissions by a third by 2030 and tried to add dozens of other countries to the effort.
He tried to convince China and Australia to do more. He convened an online Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate Change to press other countries to strengthen their climate policy.
President Pace pledged to double climate funding to developing countries by 2024. Also at COP26, the U.S. and China reached a deal on greenhouse gas emission reduction.
The two countries are responsible for 40 percent of global emissions. In July 2023, when the 2023 heat waves hit the U.S., President Pace announced several measures to protect the population and said the heat waves were linked to climate change.
when President Pace took office the anomly crime wave around the united states had hit many highs to try and lower these numbers and hit anomaly crime hard the President named Alex Kane the head of security at west shores Academy his head warden of the international wardens offices based in washington after many months of tigh votes with the other Warden offices around the world the President decided it was time for a change with one stroke of a pen he end the Wardens offices and put forword a plan that the UN would take full controle of a new groupe (explaining where the UN groupe came from cant remember name right now lol )
The President thin called on state leaders to bring what he was now calling oditties back under controle but oditie crime rates have never slowed not in the three years he has been president it is now one of the biggest crimes in the united states and exbanding in other parts of the world
On September 2, 2022, in a nationally broadcast Philadelphia speech, Pace called for a "battle for the soul of the nation". Off camera, he called Quence supporters "semi-fascists", which Republican commentators denounced.
A predicted Republican wave election did not materialize and the race for U.S. Congress control was much closer than expected, with Republicans securing a slim majority of 222 seats in the House of Representatives, and by one seat winning the Senate
It was the first midterm election since 1986 in which the party of the incumbent president achieved a net gain in governorships, and the first since 1934 in which the president's party lost no state legislative chambers.
Democrats credited Pace for their unexpectedly favorable performance, and he celebrated the results as a strong day for democracy.
In May 2021, during a flareup in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, Pace expressed his support for Israel, saying "my party still supports Israel". But didn't back any aid to Israel while fighting was on going
In June 2021, President Pace took his first trip abroad as president. In eight days he visited Belgium, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. He attended a G7 summit, a NATO summit, and an EU summit, and held one-on-one talks with the Russian president
In September 2021, President Pace announced AUKUS, a security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, to ensure "peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific over the long term"; the deal included nuclear-powered submarines built for Australia's use.
provisions of a February 2020 US-Taliban agreement that set a May 1, 2021, deadline. The Taliban began an offensive on May 1. By early July, most American troops in Afghanistan had withdrawn.
President Pace addressed the withdrawal in July, saying, "The likelihood there's going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely."
On August 15, the Afghan government collapsed under the Taliban and strife offensive, and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. President Pace reacted by ordering 6,000 American troops to assist in the evacuation of American personnel and Afghan allies.
He faced bipartisan criticism for the manner of the withdrawal, with the evacuation of Americans and Afghan allies described as chaotic and botched.
On August 16, President Pace addressed the "messy" situation, taking responsibility for it, and admitting that the situation "unfolded more quickly than we had anticipated".
He defended his decision to withdraw, saying that Americans should not be "dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves"
reports say he and former President Pace had some heated words on the phone over this dection saying "If you would have just done it slowly Pace you would have come out looking like the best President ever but no you rushed through it just like you did when you was Govenor ! now you will have to live with what comes out of this "
"right right what ever matt I am President right now your not we will deal with this just enjoy your retirement " On August 26, a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport killed 13 U.S. service members and 169 Afghans.
On August 27, an American drone strike killed two ISIS-K targets, who were "planners and facilitators", according to a U.S. Army general. On August 29, another American drone strike killed ten civilians, including seven children.
The Defense Department initially claimed the strike was conducted on an Islamic State suicide bomber threatening Kabul Airport, but admitted the suspect was harmless on September 17, calling its killing of civilians "a tragic mistake"
The U.S. military completed withdrawal from Afghanistan on August 30. President called the extraction of over 120,000 Americans, Afghans and other allies "an extraordinary success".
He acknowledged that up to 200 Americans who wanted to leave did not, despite his August 18 pledge to keep troops in Afghanistan until all Americans who wanted to leave had left.
right now the Taliban Government has launched an attack on strife bases in there country we don't know what they will be getting by terning on there biggest alinces but we do know the have alinces with many terror networks so the question has to be asked what is President Pace thinking ?
opperation freedom is still on going but the rebuilding is going to cost a lot of cash something Americans might not be fans of
the President started this year closing all American nuclear power plants all part of his push for cleaner power you just have to look at old storys to see what kind of effect this plan has had on the country
OOC: there we go three years of the pace time in offices big events copied from a real life President we know it was easer but added site things the whole thing with the island of ashford is still on going but the President has backed a island nation if the Ashford opens the island for an election and a free Government he can get behind talks still on going and the President plans to visit the island when he can set up some dates where the Ashfords can talk with him and meet him in public and in private to address his concerns

heres a look at Speaker Trumps time in the speakership
Speaker Trump became speaker after making key concessions to some members of the right-wing Freedom Caucus, including a rule to allow a single House member to introduce a vote to remove the speaker, as well as granting Freedom Caucus members three seats on the influential Rules Committee. Additionally, it was the longest multi-ballot speaker election since 1859.
In February 2023, Speaker Trump released over 40,000 hours of security video of the January 6 Capitol attack to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, prompting criticism from colleagues such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer right before Senator Quence flipped the Senate.
Days later, Carlson aired several minutes of the video during his program and asserted that government investigators had exaggerated the degree of criminality during the attack. Justice Department prosecutors said that in one case Carlson's video clips were misleadingly edited to suggest that one prominent Capitol intruder had been unjustly prosecuted, omitting video of him engaged in criminal activity.
Trump announced he had planned a meeting with the Taiwanese president Tsai Ing-wen, in the U.S. He initially declined an invitation from Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit Ukraine, saying he opposed giving "blank checks" to Ukraine and did not need to visit Ukraine to know whether the money was necessary.
The planned meeting with Tsai was condemned by the Chinese Communist Party, which threatened to take strong action. McCarthy and Tsai met on April 5 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, where he denounced China's threats. The meeting, which was described as a historic first, triggered a series of Chinese-operated military exercises near Taiwan, which the People's Liberation Army described as three-day "combat readiness patrols", meant to warn to the Taiwanese.
On April 8, approximately eight Chinese warships and 42 fighter jets were detected near Taiwan's coasts. In April 2023, McCarthy, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell minority leader Chuck Schumer, Invited South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol to address a joint meeting of Congress, scheduled for April 27.
In May 2023, amid a debt-ceiling crisis, Trump worked closely with President Pace to resolve the issue. Members of the Freedom Caucus attempted to persuade Trump to make more robust demands in exchange for raising the debt ceiling, but with days until a potentially disastrous default, Trump did not do so.
He negotiated the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 that was introduced by Republican representative Patrick McHenry, and it passed the House on May 31 and the Senate on June 1. President Pace signed it into law on June 3, ending the crisis and preventing a default.
Trump has urged Pace to withdraw the nomination of Julie Su as United States secretary of labor, arguing her controversial record would lead to "potential disastrous ramifications at the federal level".
he has expressed support for a proposal to "expunge" both of President Quence's impeachments.
President Pace today spoke to the press for the first time in a long time but while he was answering a question he had a moment where he stopped and just stared out into space heres the moment:
President Pace: you see speaker Trump just think he can run the country like he use to run one of his buisnesses like how President quence use to run the country you cant just keep cutting things something important might get cut like what if this year we cut......
not long after the reporter who asked the question says
Reporter: mr President are you ok ?
the President looks confused looks around like he is lost an aid walks up and says softly
Aid: Mr President any thing more to say sir ?
the President keeps looking confused
Aid: want to talk about how the talks are going with the speaker sir how your willing to give the GOP more gass perments for not cuts this year ?
still nothing
Aid: ok everyone the President is done have a good day everyone
later that day the white house puts out a statement saying that the President was dehydrated and needed to drink more water in this record setting heat but todays meeting with the speaker was canceld not long after the speaker got there heres speaker trump
Speaker trump: I don't know he does not look good does not look good at all we just got through the hellos when they rushed him out of the room he was seated for one and he was so pale and looked so confused I hope hes ok because the choices after him is no better
the White House says the Vice President will be the one doing this weeks spending talks while the President rests from the G 20 summet
