Alice heard her tone going off as well and checked her phone as Bryce spoke. Perhaps not everyone was getting this but the chilling message played for all present to see.

“They’ve just signed their death warrants. I don’t know if you go round armed when off duty but I have too” said to Blythe and Bryce sounding mighty pissed off.

So she poked round her purse which was big enough to hold a snub nosed 45 revolver and two speedloaders of cartridges quite easily. War had been declared and Alice was certainly up for a fight. She loaded the pistol and tucked the other reload under her dress where it was nice and snug.

“Lucas get the others to safety. I need to go hunting before more people die” she softly said to her lover. He’d seen this gun on what was their first time meeting up and she expected people were already dead or dying. The Ashford PD and other parts of the security services would be here before too long as well but Alice needed to reduce the casualties at least.
